Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Hear Ye... Part 2

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Hear Ye... Part 2

Wella, wella, wella! The Duck crew has added to their product line. Partnering with Mossberg, Duck Commander, the company founded by Phil Robertson will begin marketing line firearms that will include “nine different shotguns, as well as two semiautomatic rifles and a semiautomatic pistol.”

Now, I have nothing against firearms, hunting, or ducks. In fact I admire individuals who take a risk and in the process create a successful business and become fabulously wealthy. After all, it is the American dream and it is the American way.

What I do have something against is racism, bigotry, and the belief that a man should marry an adolescent girl before she reaches the age of 15 or 16. All of which Phil Robertson has made clear he is in support of.

So, in as much as I admire business acumen and the desire and ability to make money I cannot abide supporting Duck Commander, Phil Robertson, or his family endeavor. I personally will NEVER by anything product marketed by Duck Commander and urge everyone of sane mind to BOYCOTT Duck Dynasty and ALL of its products. Give your business to the one of their competitors. Principle and real American values do, after all, matter.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) The family-owned business at the center of the hit TV show "Duck Dynasty" has launched its own line of guns.

The gunmaker Mossberg has teamed with Duck Commander, the company owned by "Duck Dynasty's" Robertson clan, to release nine different shotguns, as well as two semiautomatic rifles and a semiautomatic pistol.

Duck Commander was founded 40 years ago by Phil Robertson, the family patriarch who was recently suspended -- and then reinstated -- by A&E after making controversial remarks about gay people and African-Americans.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Phil Robertson, the extreme right's new hero. Yep, a bible thumping racist and bigot. You go Phil!

Just in from Mediate - The controversy surrounding Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has now taken a step beyond his comments about homosexuality and bestiality, along with his assertion that black people in the Jim Crow South were happier and equating Muslims with Nazis.

Now with yet another video that’s surfaced, we’re once again reminded that this is nothing new for Robertson, who explained to an Arkansas congregation in 2008 what would “do in the Muslims,” as well as “the Chinese,” and that Muslims are “famous for murder.”

“What will do the Muslims in?” Robertson asked in the middle of his speech before the Hillsboro Church of Christ in El Dorado.

“Violations of the law, that’s what’ll do ‘em in,” he said waving his bible in the air.

Liberty -vs- Tyranny

Below is a statement made by Ian Baynes, Congressman from the 11th district of Illinois. I guess to the muddled minds of some floating on the fringes the comparison makes perfect sense.

Yep, for some the best thing to do when in a hole is to keep digging, I guess.

BUCK DYNASTY STAR IS ROSA PARK OF OUR GENERATION

Friday, December 20th, 2013 @ 4:23PM

Today, Ian Bayne called Phil Robertson, star of the A&E series “Duck Dynasty,” the ‘Rosa Parks’ of our generation.

“In December 1955, Rosa Parks took a stand against an unjust societal persecution of black people, and in December 2013, Robertson took a stand against persecution of Christians,” said Bayne.

Parks, famous for refusing to give up her seat on a bus for a white person, as was the rule of her day, provided inspiration for a movement of equality of black people and white people in America.

“What Parks did was courageous,” said Bayne. “What Mr. Robertson did was courageous too.”

Bayne believes that the Duck Dynasty star knew that going on GQ would result in the current controversy going on surrounding his suspension, as well as his suspension.

Bayne added that this exposure of Robertson’s situation is an eye opener for many who may have been previously in disbelief that the bible is fast becoming considered “hate speech” by the media and society.
