Who doesn't own a pair of black shoes? I'm sure that we all do, so that means it's a favorite/ timeless piece not just in my closet but in yours as well.
Now let me tell you something that already is no longer a secret: I like black shoes but I LOVE , love, love colorful/ printed ones!
So, if I have to choose a pair of black shoes, I'm looking for something different, with a little extra something as these lace-up pair from today's post, which is my Nr.2 favorite/ timeless piece from Lulu's.com.

Currently I'm debating and in the same time digging the "slip dress"trend. I don't consider myself a follower of all the trends that show up every season but certainly I take some inspiration and wear it in my own characteristic way.
Instead of wearing a real nightgown on a daylight (which I will totally do it in the near future, if I find the perfect one) I chose something similar, this flowy silk dress. Again summery pieces don't have to go in the cold season. Speaking of the cold season let's not forget we are in December so this look needed some layers and I must add a fuzzy/ wool  piece, not just for the great effect of two totally different fabrics but to stay warm as well. This was my Christmas Eve look!

This is one way in which I like to wear pastels: sort of monochromatic way. I don't try to match them, but I certainly look to find colors that are on the same chromatic level. As you can see this dusty blue from the coat with the dusty green from the pants are very close as tone and to complete the look without adding another pastel color I chose grey to unify them. Instead of adding a bold accessory I added a bold color with my shoes to complete the look.
It is all about the color scheme!

I'm not a wedge shoe girl but I don't exclude them from my radar either. Last Sunday I was looking to wear something light, between casual and chic and I opted for these white wedges that I bought a while ago.
Sweaters are comfy-cozy-great for weekend days so I created a white graphic look, especially because the weather allowed me to not wear a jacket.
A pinch of color it was the perfect finish and I was good to go for some necessary Sunday shopping!
