Wauwatosa, WI - On Wednesday, several Wauwatosa aldermen confirmed that they received an e-mail from Wauwatosa Police Chief Berry Weber notifying them, that he will ask the Police and Fire Commission to terminate Detective Robin Schumacher. Det. Schumacher was arrested on Tuesday while she was at the department, according to Chief Weber.
Weber has not released any information or details from an internal investigation that prompted investigators to take Det. Schumacher into custody at the station. She is expected to be charged within several days.
Details about what led to Schumacher's arrest will be released once she is charged, according to Chief Weber.
WISN 12 News reported earlier that Schumacher allegedly stole drugs from the evidence room and has been suspended from the department. Schumacher is being held at the Milwaukee County jail pending charges.

Juries Don't "Do" Emotion ... J. D. Longstreet

Juries Don't "Do" Emotion ... J. D. Longstreet
Juries Don't "Do" Emotion
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet

*******************

We have often stated that liberalism is based on pure, raw, emotion. And it is.  There is very little reasoned, common sense, reckoning taking place in the mindless mobs spreading anarchy around the US in the name of justice for Trayvon.

Their continued calls for "justice" only underlines their ignorance of the judicial system.

See, JUSTICE is what they got.  They did not get a jury's knee-jerk reaction to emotion. They got justice. And they HATE IT!

Ever wonder why most depictions of Lady Justice have her blind-folded?  It is so justice doesn't get caught up in the emotion swirling about the event she is asked to rule upon.

Look.  Justice cannot be found in a sea of raw emotion. It cannot survive in that environment.  Emotion is what drives the human animal to insanity, temporary insanity all the way to permanent insanity. Mentally, we cycle back in time to our days living in caves.

The mobs on our streets today are exhibiting the kind of behavior sparked by emotion that our early ancestors, the cavemen and cave women, would recognize instantly as a behavior employed by them to attain a goal, which might include securing dinner -- or -- punishing a member of the clan for breaking a clan rule, or some such.

It is brutish, uncivilized, uncouth, barbarian,
(and dare we say it?) childish behavior. It simply underscores everything the civilized population already believes about those involving themselves in such exhibits of the bizarre.

Nevertheless, it is what it is.

However, those of us who live in the sane world must not underestimate the danger presented by such mindless activity.  There is hardly a more dangerous beast than a mob.  At some point, if the mob-fever does not subside and (at least) near-sanity returns,  then, as with any rabid animal, it must be put down.

There is glaring irony in observing that those who have for generations railed against the lynching of members of their race, have, themselves, now become a lynch mob.

Civilized societies have rules, sets of rules, they have decided upon to govern the behavior of their particular society.  It is the ONLY way a civilized society can exist.  It is within this framework that the core of any society, the family, can exist and, hopefully, thrive.

But the agreed upon rules must apply to ALL members of that society -- that means every last one.

Cherry picking the rules we will enforce, and the rules we will NOT enforce, will quickly bring down the entire structure of a society.

Just as dangerous to the continued existence of ANY society is the refusal to accept the consequences of an applied rule when those consequences are unsatisfactory to a large portion of that society.

Our society, our republic, the United States of America, is in grave danger today.  Over the past few years we have decided to try living our lives without the constraints on the government presented by the constitution.  Too, we have adopted the philosophy of moral relativism, in which there is no absolute right and no absolute wrong.  We call it political correctness.

See, we Americans have dipped our toe into the Marxist river and, unfortunately,  a huge portion of our society (many of our leaders) has elected to baptize themselves in that river -- by total immersion -- and climb back onto the bank as avowed Marxists/communists.

These ARE perilous times.  Yes.  Thomas Paine WOULD feel right at home if he could survey -- and feel -- the weight of the government's yoke on the descendents of his fellow colonists today.

Yes, dear reader, I am aware that I am preaching to the choir with these few words.  It is sadly unfortunate -- but it is true -- that so many who might actually profit from the words here written cannot read them.

Look around you. Observe the vandals at work across America today.  They are the "useful idiots" rampaging in our streets as they do the biding of their modern day slave masters.   See, many of their number have never left the plantation. They only moved onto another plantation, this one overseen by a slave master whose skin color matches that of their own.

Human animals, engorged with emotional rage, are fairly easily maneuvered in the direction their master wants them to go.

Anytime you observe a mob doing something that would require a decent amount of planning or preparation, you can be assured that THAT mob is being controlled, directed, handled, by an entity far more intelligent than the cumulative IQ of the entire mob.

Edgar Allan Poe once said:  "The nose of a mob is its imagination. By this, at any time, it can be quietly led."

I think it is important that we understand that the activities of the current "mobs" is not without direction.  Too, I think it is immeasurably more important that we understand that the ultimate goal of those directing the mob violence plaguing our country today differs diametrically from the stated public demand for justice.

Juries don't "do" emotion, but mobs do.  And, sadly, it is the very same emotion,  whipped to a fever's pitch, that also blinds the participants to the less than noble ends to which their efforts are being applied.

James Bovard  is a libertarian author and lecturer.  Some time ago he said: "Part of the reason that the government's fear mongering is succeeding is because so many people are so ignorant, that it is easier for government to frighten people in submission."

Mr. Bovard also said: "The vision that the founding fathers had of rule of law and equality before the law and no one above the law, that is a very viable vision, but instead of that, we have quasi mob rule."

Mr. Bovard was spot on -- both times.

75-year-old Man Convicted For Killing 13-year-old Simmons

John Henry Spooner and Darius Simmons

Surveillance video showed Spooner shooting Simmons in cold blood.

By H. Nelson Goodson
July 17, 2013

Milw., WI - On Wednesday,  a Milwaukee County jury convicted John Henry Spooner, 75, of first-degree intentional homicide of Darius Simmons, 13. Spooner is facing life in prison. He is suffering from lung cancer.
Spooner's trial continues to determine, if he was mentally ill when he shot Simmons. Spooner's defense lawyer is trying to argue that Spooner was temporarily ill for a few seconds when he shot Simmons. A doctor for the defense collaborated that Simmon's for a few seconds was mentally ill, but the prosecutor disputed their argument.
The jury viewed a video recorded by a surveillance camera at Spooner's residence showing Spooner walking up to Simmons and pointing a gun at the victim several times and then shoots him in cold blood.
Simmons was outside in front of his home at 1905 W. Arrow St. when Spooner confronted him about the prior house break-in, according to the criminal complaint. Spooner then took out his handgun and shot Simmons. Simons was unarmed when he was shot multiple times in the chest after a shouting altercation.
Spooner admitted to police that he indeed shot Simmons, who he suspected of breaking into his home and stealing several shotguns worth at least $3,000.

Real GDP Growth: A Long Term Perspective

A picture's worth a thousand words.

Have no fear though! Ben Bernanke assures us that 2.9% to 3.6% real GDP growth is coming back in 2015. And let's not forget the 3.5% real yields that will no doubt come with it! Mark them on your calendar people! Good times ahead! Just need to keep pushing this wreck of a derailed economic train right back on the tracks. What could possibly go wrong?

This post is in response to every talking head on CNBC who tells me to keep a long-term perspective. Oh, yeah. I'm keeping a long-term perspective all right. Don't you worry about that, lol. Sigh.

Hilsenrath: What Bernanke Means

“If a substantial part of the reductions in measured unemployment were judged to reflect cyclical declines in labor force participation rather than gains in employment, the committee would be unlikely to view a decline in unemployment to 6.5 percent (unemployment rate) as a sufficient reason to raise its target for the federal funds rate.

What if we don't even make it down to 6.5 percent before the next recession hits? As seen in the following link, Ben Bernanke's powers of assumption appear to exceed his powers of prediction (by a fairly wide margin).

Bernanke: There's No Housing Bubble to Go Bust

"Without these policy blunders by the Federal Reserve, there is little reason to believe that the 1929 crash would have been followed by more than a moderate dip in U.S. economic activity," Bernanke wrote.

Welcome to the first "moderate dip" of the 21st century. Thankfully, there was no housing bubble to go bust and therefore there were no monetary policy blunders leading into it, lol. Sigh.

Sarcasm, it isn't just for breakfast any more.

ACTION ALERT--DOJ Wants Emails With Anti-Zimmerman Tips: Show Them Conservatives Are Good Americans-Send an Email!

Hat Tip to Yid With Lid

The Department of Justice has no evidence that George Zimmerman is a racist so they are asking the American Public for help in tracking down and persecuting the neighborhood watch man found innocent of murder Saturday evening.

The U.S. Department of Justice on Monday afternoon appealed to civil rights groups and community leaders, nationally and in Sanford, for help investigating whether a federal criminal case might be brought against George Zimmerman for the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, one advocate said.
The DOJ has also set up a public email address to take in tips on its civil rights investigation.
According to Barbara Arnwine, president and executive director the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law-- she joined a U.S. Department of Justice conference call to discuss the prospects.
“They were calling on us to actively refer anyone who had any information,” that might build a case against Zimmerman for either a civil rights violation or a hate crime, Arnwine said. “They said they would very aggressively investigate this case.”

Arnwine said the call was convened at about 3:30 p.m. by Tom Perez, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice, and included representatives from the FBI, and several federal prosecutors, she said. DOJ officials also said they would open a public email address so people could send in tips on the case.
That email address, which is now in operation, is Sanford.florida@usdoj.gov

Folks allow me to suggest we act like good Americans. Since there is no evidence that Mr. Zimmerman is a racist..send them a tip.  Please send mail to that address, send them some suggestions, like George Zimmerman pooped in his diaper when he was one or he stole the purple crayon in kindergarten, maybe even that he came up with the idea for Sharnado.  Or if you wish send them ideas of other people to investigate for civil rights violations, the IRS or even that they should investigate Eric Holder for fast and furious.

If you have two emails…send them a tip from each!

My ultimate hope is that we flood the Email address with so many Emails  they have to close it. Then the closure can become a story of the "people" fighting the government . Whether one believes the verdict was just or not this is another big government over-reach...so let's show it

Prove to the  DOJ that we are are good Americans! Here are just a few suggestions:

I think I heard one time that George Zimmerman only left a 13% tip at a Denny's. I think I also heard the server was white!

Third Suspect Charged In Home Invasion And Rape Case

Jose A. Adames, Julio Quiles-Guzman and Omar Rivera

Two of the suspects raped a woman while her husband was tied up in another room and their 4-year-old child was not hurt.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Julio 16, 2013

Milwaukee,  WI - The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office has charged a third suspect for the June 29 home invasion, armed robbery and rape of a woman at the 1900 block of W. Muskego Ave. while her husband was tied up in an upper floor room. Their 4-year-old child was not hurt, according to the criminal complaint.
Jose A. Adames, 23, was recently arrested and charged with five felonies that included one count of first-degree sexaul assault and party to a crime, two counts of armed robbery, one count of false imprisonment and one count of bail jumping. If convicted on all counts, Adames is facing up to 158 years in prison.
The two other suspects were also charge with similar felony counts. They were identified as Julio Quiles-Guzman, 23, and Omar Rivera, 27, all from Milwaukee. They are also facing up to 158 years (life) in prison, if convicted on all counts.
Rivera had recently pleaded guilty for an unrelated armed robbery and was out on bail, according to court records.
The complaint states, that on June 29, the three suspects wearing masks and gloves invaded an apartment on W. Muskego Ave. in Milwaukee's south side.
They believed a couple living in the apartment had over $40,000 in the bank. They managed to tie the husband up with duct tape and moved him to an upstairs room.
One of the suspects forced the woman to go to an ATM to take out money. The victim was able to only take out $300 per day and the suspect took the victim back home. Two of the suspects took the woman to a bedroom. Where they pulled her shorts and underwear down, ordered her to perform sex acts and then raped her several times. Then they forced the victim again to go back to the ATM after midnight and was able to withdraw an additional $500.
The suspects also stole a television, cellphones, Social Security cards, credit cards, Nintendo games, the couple's vehicle, a pet hamster and other items. The vehicle was later  abandon and burned to destroy any fingerprints left by the suspects.
Once the suspects fled the scene, the woman was able to free her hueband and they went to a neighbor to get help. Police were able to get a fingerprint left at a footboard by one of the suspects.
The fingerprint check indicated that it belonged to Rivera. Police arrested Rivera at his residence and he later admitted to police that he was involved in the home invasion and robbery, but said he did not rape the woman, according to the criminal complaint.
Police also arrested Quiles-Guzman in connection with the crime and he also denied raping the victim. Police executed search warrants in both Rivera's and Quiles-Guzman's homes where they found stolen items from the home invasion. Several small packages of heroin were also recovered from Quiles-Guzman's place.

El Zeta 40 Facing Capital Murder And Drug Trafficking Charges In U.S.

Miguel Ángel Treviño Morales, aka, "El Zeta 40"

El Zeta 40 has been charged in connection with five homicides in Laredo.

By H. Nelson Goodson
July 16, 2013

Laredo, Texas - Miguel Ángel Treviñio Morales, 42, aka, "El Zeta 40" originally from Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas who was taken into custody on early Monday by Mexican Marines near Nuevo Laredo is expected to be extradited to the U.S. to face capital murder and drug trafficking charges. Treviñio Morales had been charged in Texas for ordering the murders of Jesus Maria "Chuy" Resendez, 36, and Mariano Resendez, 15, in 2006 and three other homicides in Laredo. The homicides were committed by a teenage Zeta hit squad hired by Treviñio Morales. The hitmen were busted and later confessed to federal authorities that El Zeta 40 had ordered the killings.
The U.S. offered a $5M dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of Treviñio Morales. The U.S. government is expected to seek an extradition request for Treviñio Morales to face homicide and drug trafficking charges in the U.S.
Treviñio Morales is facing capital murder in Texas, which the death penalty could be sought. It is not clear, if the Mexican government would make an exception and extradite Treviñio Morales to face the death penalty. Mexico in the past have denied extradition of its citizens to face capital murder in the U.S., but have extradited Mexican nationals wanted for murder as long as they face life in prison instead of a death penalty.
Treviñio Morales is responsible for ordering more than 316 homicides including 266 murders in San Fernando, Tamaulipas, which 72 of those homicides were Central and South American undocumented immigrants whose bodies were found at a Zeta ranch.

George Zimmerman's Pyrrhic Victory

George Zimmerman's Pyrrhic Victory

George Zimmerman’s Pyrrhic Victory

Recently a Florida jury found George Zimmerman, the alleged murderer of Trayvon Martin, guiltless. Through political pressures, a mock trial in a kangaroo courtroom was held. Evidence was heavily weighted against the prosecution, yet they believed a moral imperative drove them to move ahead with this factitious case. Suggestions that the court was influenced by the Obama Administration to find any means to obtain a guilty verdict may have some legs. Prosecutors withheld pictures of Zimmerman’s beaten face from the defense. Judge Debra Nelson was less than kind to the defense attorneys and Zimmerman during this mock trial. Now that six jurors have found Zimmerman not guilty, based on a plethora of evidence in his favor, the afro-American community is seeking civil rights charges against him. Attorney General Eric Holder is searching for any means to bring these charges about. This case was never about race. FBI studied the actions surrounding Trayvon’s death and concluded race was not a factor. Media outlets, especially those leaning left, exploited this case to steer it in that direction. NBC edited recordings juggling Zimmerman’s voice to give the appearance he pursued Trayvon because of his Afro-American heritage. For this outright lie and other misrepresentations, Zimmerman has sued NBC. Now, the  hard part comes for him, survival.

Protests have erupted in many cities condemning the jury’s findings. Stirring the pot is Al Sharpton and his colleagues with hateful speeches, which squelch the true-facts in this case. Violent acts have occurred resulting in arrests in New York City, California and other locales. The Drama continues as the left-wing media continues to claim the circumstances surrounding Zimmerman’s actions were purely raced based and not self-defense. Sports figures and other celebrities have chimed in with perspectives that do not play well for Zimmerman. The charade this case is based on racism has even reached into the dark corridors and disturbed minds in the Obama Administration. The President has called for calm knowing his words will have a paradoxical effect on the crowds. The rule of law holds no value to these protesters and government officials unless they need its aegis to protect themselves. Al Sharton sought cover in the law many times when it was convenient for him. Sharpton’s present actions will fortify race hatreds and hurt many, but he continues to pound his fists for civil rights violation against the former defendant.   Zimmerman needs to find shelter away from the light of the media. Some have called for his death, others would like to see him hurt in some manner or form. My question to the public is: How would you have managed an attacker if he or she was pounding your head against concrete, had broken your nose, caused the rear of your head to bleed profusely and given you a possible concussion? We must take a serious look at our laws and how they are enforced

We must take a serious look at our laws and how they are enforced

Most people are for law and order, and most obey the laws that keep society functioning. And most have great respect for the men and women who have the sometimes-dangerous job of enforcing those laws.

That said, some laws are just plain dumb and should be done away with, and what is more important, there are so many laws, rules and regulations today that no one can know all the decrees from the federal, state and local governments that affect him or her, and therefore it is impossible to obey them all. This over-regulated environment puts each of us in the position of likely being in violation of one or more of them at any given moment.

What's worse than so many decrees from so many sources, however, is what seems to be a growing tendency of law enforcement agencies at all levels to imagine that even tiny infractions warrant the most dramatic responses.

Case in point: After making a purchase at a Charlottesville, Va. grocery store one night, a 20-year-old University of Virginia student and two roommates were approached in their car by a group of six men and one woman in street clothes. "They were showing unidentifiable badges after they approached us, but we became frightened, as they were not in anything close to a uniform," she recalled in a written account of the incident.

Police say one of the group jumped on the hood of her car. The girl said one drew a gun, and they tried to break out car windows. Unsure who they were, the girl tried to flee the dark parking lot and called 911. Given the circumstances and stories of people being assaulted by phony police officers, who could blame her?

It turned out to be a squad of plainclothes state Alcoholic Beverage Control officers who suspected the girl had purchased beer in the store – she hadn’t – and was under-age. She spent the night in jail as a result.

Question: Who at the ABC thought this procedure actually made sense? Is it reasonable for a squad of plainclothes agents to approach three female college students in a dark parking lot, fail to adequately identify themselves, point a gun at them, jump on their car and try to break out the windows because they think one of them had bought beer that she might not be old enough to purchase?

Prosecutors dropped charges against the young woman, describing her as having panicked at the sight of plainclothes agents who approached her and her roommates.

Case 2: When the Leander, Texas police wanted to serve a warrant on Bradly Simpson, they sent officers to his home. When no one responded to the knock on the front door, a couple of officers walked around the side of the house toward the back yard whereupon they saw two German Shepards coming toward them. One officer pulled his gun and fired three shots. The police said the dog was growling and aggressively coming at them. Fortunately, the officer’s aim was not good and only one of the dogs was hit, but only wounded.

After that spectacle, the police were unable to serve the warrant because they were at the wrong address, and in the wrong neighborhood. Worse than that, not far from where the dog was shot the home owners’ terminally-ill six year-old grandchild was playing.

Worse, yet, the home owners said neither dog was aggressive, that they were merely curious about who was visiting their home, and had never behaved the way the police claimed. And, as it turns out, the lady of the house is a professional dog trainer, and therefore knows about dog behavior, and furthermore noted that there are routinely customers visiting her home, so strangers don’t spook her dogs.

And what heinous crime prompted the police to go to Mr. Simpson’s home to serve the warrant? He had an expired vehicle registration.

Leander police officials say what happened was "an unfortunate accident." Wrong: What happened is that the police screwed up.

The number of rogue law enforcement personnel that intentionally abuse their authority and position is surely very small. Nevertheless, instances of over-aggressive law enforcement action and plain dumb mistakes like these are indefensible and intolerable, and there appears to be a growing attitude toward over-aggressive behavior.

To maintain the public trust and respect government and law enforcement are going to have to stop doing stupid and dangerous things like these examples, and even worse incidents that have caused serious injury and even death for innocent citizens.

Solutions? Do we really need so many law enforcement officers that seven of them can spend nights sitting around in one store parking lot waiting to catch an under-age person buying beer? Does an expired registration really justify armed police visiting the vehicle owner’s home?

What about accountability? Officials that exercise bad judgment or act rashly must be disciplined, encouraging them to carefully consider how to properly and safely do their jobs, and also demonstrating that public officials really take seriously their duty to adequately serve the people they work for.

Something must be done, and the sooner, the better.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Missile Parts Confiscated From North Korean Ship In Panama

North Korean ship had large containers of missile parts and was trying to smuggle the parts through the Panama Canal.

By H. Nelson Goodson
July 16, 2013

Panama - On Friday, Panama officials confiscated containers of missile parts from a North Korean ship trying to go through the Panama Canal. The ship had left Cuba and authorities in Panama believed it was attempting to smuggle drugs after they noticed that the ship captain became angry and the crew rioted.
The ship was taken to an inspection section in the canal where officials discovered the missile parts behind a sugar cargo. The ship captain tried to commit suicide and the crew is being held in custody.
On Monday, Ricardo Martinelli, President of Panama posted several photos of the missile containers on his Twitter account and announced that the military parts were found inside the cargo ship. It's illegal to try and smuggle missile parts through the Panama Canal.
Martinelli says, drug enforcement officials had spotted the ship after it left Cuba and supected it was carrying drugs. No drugs were found in the ship.

Zimmerman Free Because Jury Understood "The Fear" ... J. D. Longstreet

Zimmerman Free Because Jury Understood "The Fear" ... J. D. Longstreet
Zimmerman Free Because Jury Understood "The Fear"
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet

*****************

I was walking to my car in the darkened parking lot of one of America's Big Box stores when I suddenly realized why the jury found George Zimmerman not guilty. Fear.

No.  I mean REAL FEAR.  The kind of fear ingrained in ones bones.  The kind of fear that has been with us so long we no longer know we are even a host for it.

During the days of slavery in America, the slave owners lived with this same fear.  Once slavery was rendered illegal in America then the entire country fell victim to the same raw fear.

Some 700,000 Americans died in a civil war fought in the name of that fear, if you believe accepted history.  I don't.  But that's a different story for a different article, on a different day.

All the American Civil War proved, if it proved anything at all, is that -- you cannot GIVE a people freedom.  It has no value as a gift.  It is not cherished because it was not earned.

One hundred and fifty years down the road from that war and the descendents of those freed slaves are little better off than they were when they trailed behind Sherman's army begging for morsels of food as Sherman smashed and burned his way through the southern states.  The mold for the next century and a half was set at that moment.

Nothing much has changed since.  The only thing of substance that HAS changed is that now, rather than being thankful for freedom, the descendents of those freed slaves, despise white Americans for, as I believe THEY see it, FORCING them to feel beholden to white America.

Understand:  There will NEVER be an open and honest debate in America about black and white racism.  NEVER.  Neither side can handle the truth.  Neither side will face the truth -- and neither side wants the debate.

White America is fed up. We long since gave up the notion that the black community wanted equality and justice.  White America is now convinced that black America wants nothing less than to punish white Americans for something for which they (Today's white Americans) bear no guilt.

White America has shut its ears.  We are tired of the nagging, the bitching and moaning, the weeping and wailing, the refusal to take personal responsibility, the continuous demands that America owes them something, hell, EVERYTHING,  the continuous complaining, and repeated threats, the unruly, uncivilized, conduct of a people who insist on remaining apart, even to hyphenating the name of their race to accentuate and perpetuate their "apartness."

One hundred and fifty years has been squandered.  It is gone.  A century and a half just tossed aside while the remainder of the country scratched and clawed its way to, at least, some level of success.

In the middle of the 20th century America tried again to jump start the black community with every kind of social program and entitlement program it could afford -- and a few it couldn't -- to, hopefully, get our black brethren and sisteren into the mix so that they, too, might become upwardly mobile.  It didn't work.  It was not enough, it STILL is not enough --  and now we are convinced it will never BE enough.
The expression:  "riding a good horse into the ground" seems apprapo to this situation.  But this horse is about ready to throw its rider.

That fear I mentioned at the beginning of this commentary is what was. long ago, thought of as the fear of a slave uprising.  These days we call it by different names: riots, race riots, civil disobedience, mob violence, etc.  It amounts to the same thing.   It is a deep seated fear that should such an "uprising"  occur,  it will be seem, by both sides as an opportunity, and an excuse, to take out their frustrations on the other side while reducing the population of each side by generous numbers.

Police will be quickly overwhelmed.

But that is only a part of the underlying fear.  The remainder is that once the blood lust is up there will be nationwide genocide.

Now, I know I am going be be vilified for having the temerity to actually make public the thoughts of millions of Americans today.  There's not much tolerance for truth these days.

The rage on both sides of the racial divide is bubbling just below the surface and a small prick can, and most likely will, release the toxins of hate an anger into our national atmosphere.

I think the members of the jury in the Zimmerman trial understood WHY Zimmerman was suspicious of a young black man, wearing a hoodie, and strolling the avenues of a residential community late at night, a community that had suffered a number of burglaries and break-ins in the recent past committed by young black men.  Anyone NOT suspicious would, of necessity, have to be mentally detached from reality.

Consider this from Bernie Goldberg: " ... but he was looked upon with suspicion because, as painful as it is to acknowledge, he looked like too many other black kids in hoodies who do bad things.  Black people know this better than anyone else. They’re the victims of most black crime. Remember what Jesse Jackson said several years back.  “There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved.” Does that make the Reverend Jackson a racist – or a realist?"  SOURCE:   http://www.bernardgoldberg.com/zimmerman-is-not-guilty-what-about-the-media/?utm_source=BernardGoldberg.com+Newsletter&utm_campaign=fc74eee89b

I think the jury may have felt,  as did so many,  the Zimmerman trial was a "show trial" designed as an attempt to placate the black community into not burning down the city.

I suspect that those women had, on occasion, seen young black men strolling aimlessly through their communities and hastened to check the locks on their doors and windows and clasp their phones in fear moistened hands waiting to dial 911 at the first sound.   How many people living in today's cities and urban centers have not felt this fear in recent years?

Most of us today live behind closed and locked doors in our homes, even though we know, deep down, that those locks provide no real deterrent to those set upon smashing their way into our place of refuge and taking everything we have -- including our lives and the lives of our loved ones -- without a second thought.

I believe all this was coursing through the mental process of those jurors as they decided the fate of Mr. Zimmerman.

We may also find that the "Neighborhood Watch" program is ended.  Who, in their right mind, will want to subject themselves, and their families and loved ones. to the denigration Mr.Zimmerman and his family have suffered for some eighteen months -- and -- the probability of living under a death threat for the remainder of their lives as Mr. Zimmerman is sure to do?

It struck me recently, that America is beginning to look more and more like South Africa. Consider this:  "In my opinion,America’s future will not resemble its past, but will look more like today’s South Africa. As the number of whites declines, loss of power will follow, leading to aggressive legislation pushing whites out of jobs and most positions of power.  Many whites will emigrate or move to the remaining red states, just as South Africa’s whites have emigrated since 1994. But ultimately there will be no place to go, as the global demographic decline of whites means that even European countries suffer the same fate of dispossession." The article continues:  "... The United States is such a military and economic power that the battle now taking shape within its borders could well determine the fate of the West. ... " SOURCE:  http://www.amren.com/opinion/2012/11/will-the-us-follow-south-africa-down-the-path-of-white-decline/

So -- here we go again, lurching from one crisis to another as we wait for the federal government to find some excuse, any excuse, to inject itself into this mess making it ten times worse.

OK.  So we have touched on some things that are simply not talked about in public by polite society today.  But being polite is getting us steamrolled!   At some point one must drop the socially accepted facade and defend one's self -- or -- face a tragic end.

“The moment we begin to fear the opinions of others and hesitate to tell the truth that is in us, and from motives of policy are silent when we should speak, the divine floods of light and life no longer flow into our souls.” ― Elizabeth Cady Stanton

I think Ms. Stanton had it about right.
