Moderate Republicans Team Up With Labor Unions To Defeat Tea Party In 2014

This is what the establishment GOPers really are, no better than Democrats!
Fox Nation reports a Republican super PAC committed to defeating the tea party in 2014 congressional primaries is mostly funded by labor unions.

The super PAC Defending Main Street, formed by moderate Republican and former congressman Steve LaTourette, has committed itself to destroying tea party challenges to establishment GOP candidates in the 2014 midterm elections.

“Hopefully we’ll go into eight to 10 races and beat the snot out of them,” LaTourette said. His PAC has already committed itself to defending Republican Idaho Rep. Mike Simpson from tea party opponent Bryan Smith, who is backed by the conservative Club for Growth due to Simpson’s support for the Wall Street bailout.

Tacoma WA Math teacher Meredith Powell had sex two of her students - one aged just 15 - and sent sexual photos to a third' Lincoln High School

This predator doesn’t belong anywhere near a classroom!
Daily Mailreports a 24-year-old high school teacher has confessed to performing sex acts with multiple students, one as young as 15 years old, inside her locked classroom, as well as sending them sexualized pictures of herself.

Meredith Powell, of Tacoma, Washington, allegedly is accused of sending three male students inappropriate pictures of herself in a bathtub, as well as engaging in sex acts with two of the students, police said.

Powell, a math teacher at Lincoln High School, pleaded not guilty on Friday to two counts of third-degree child rape and one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes for alleged inappropriate conduct with three students, according to The News Tribune.

Tacoma police began investigating this week after learning that Powell wrote a letter to one of the boy’s girlfriends apologizing for 'promiscuous' and 'unprofessional' drunken text messages she exchanged with one of the boys.

Powell was arrested on Thursday and placed on unpaid leave.

The culture is now being transformed.  You would do well to learn Spanish.  It will be our second language in the new North American Union.  French may also be the next language also.  Very interesting times already happening...

The News UNIT recently reported CNN's transformation to the Hispanic culture and also it shows that they are promoting BITCOIN for some reason.  Could we be having BITCOIN as our new currency soon?

The old culture of America is being diminished now as we have been already overthrown by an African American Heritage in the White House.  Now we will be embracing the Mexican/Hispanic American culture along with those who may be called French/Canadian Americans later on.

Will this eventually be the North American UNION of Soviet Socialist Republics?
It certainly will be changing soon:

Sen. Rand Paul Putting Republican Desperation on National Display Again...

Sen. Rand Paul Putting Republican Desperation on National Display Again...

It's 1998, a sitting United States President has a liaison with a white house intern.

The United States House of Representatives votes in favor of Articles of Impeachment and William Jefferson Clinton is the second president in United States history to be impeached.

The United States Senate does NOT convict President Clinton and the matter is dropped, as set forth in the United States Constitution.

Fast forward sixteen years to 2014.

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, a presumable 2016 republican presidential candidate brings the issue of the Clinton sexual dalliances to the forefront once again. This in response to the current democratic party claim that conservatives, and republicans in particular are waging a war against women.

So, a 1998 Congress impeaches the President, the Senate does not convict, the President serves out his second term of what was essentially a successful administration, and Senator Rand Paul thinks this strategy is a winning idea? That it will make a difference in the minds of the American voters in 2014 and 2016? That the electorate (other than hard core righties) actually cares about 1998 and an issue put to bed at the time?

Yep, when you ain't got the goods, when you're floundering for substance, when ya just know the road ahead is going to be rutty and difficult, why just dredge up some stuff from the past that the majority of the American people could not at this point give a s*it less about, and run with it.

Sounds like a republican plan to me.

GOTCHA: Teens nabbed in burning of Jesus statue in Emmaus; outside St. Ann's Catholic Church police find no hate crime

If a crime is committed against a Gay person it’s automatically labeled as a bias crime.  So how is it that an attack on a religious statue isn’t a religious bias attack?

The Morning Call  reports Emmaus police have found the teenagers involved in the burning Sunday morning of a statue of Jesus outside St. Ann's Catholic Church in the borough, police said Friday.

Police also said they had determined the crime was not an attack on a religion.

"There was no indication of anti-religious motives or hate crimes or that the church was specifically targeted, but more likely a matter of vandalism," police said in a news release.
In the act, discovered just before 7 a.m. Mass at the 415 S. Sixth St., church, one teenager set fire to the head of the statue as the other youths watched, Sgt. Tim Hoats said.

"There were several people together, but only one did the act," he said.

That one 13-year-old is likely to be charged and the case will be referred to the Lehigh County Juvenile Probation Department for sanctions, Hoats said.

The fire disfigured the face of Jesus and caused $2,000 in damage, police said. After passers-by put out the flames, an empty lighter fluid bottle was found nearby.

I totally disagree that this is not considered a bias attack.  Once again Christianity takes it in the neck.

Smith Charged By Feds For Kidnapping 6-year-old Baby Powell From Beloit

Kristen Smith and Kayden J. Powell

Smith confessed and led West Branch police to where she dropped off 6-day-old Kayden J. Powell.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 7, 2014

Milwaukee, WI - On Friday, the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Western District of Wisconsin has filed charges against Kristen Smith, 32, of Colorado in connection with the kidnapping of 6-day-old Kayden J. Powell on Thursday and taking him across the several state lines. Smith was arrested by police in the City of West Branch after it was learned that she had a Texas warrant for theft.
Smith was being investigated for the disappearance of Powell after his mother reported him missing from her Beloit home in Wisconsin around 4:34 a.m. on Thursday. Smith said, that she was the half sister of the baby's mother Brianna Marshall, 18, on her father's side of the family.
When Smith was detained in Iowa by a West Branch police officer on a Texas warrant, she confessed after a prosthetic pregnancy belly in her vehicle was discovered, a stroller, baby car seat and baby clothes. She had told police that she had given birth, but when tested it turned out she hadn't been expecting a child.
She eventually told police where to find baby Powell at a Come and Go gas station off I-80.
If convicted, Smith is facing life in prison on federal kidnapping charges.

Salahadyn And Allah Charged For Stealing $6M Stradivarius Violin

Salah I. Salahadyn and Universal K. Allah

Salahadyn facing 15 years and Allah 18 years in prison in connection with theft of Stradivarius violin.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 7, 2014

Milwaukee, WI - On Friday, both Salah I. Salahadyn, 41, and Universal K. Allah, 36, were charged each with one felony count of robbery and Allah was also charged with one felony count for possession with intent to deliver THC (marijuana). The robbery charges were filed in connection with the January 27 stolen Stradivarius violin worth between $6 to $10 million.
If convicted Salahadyn is facing up to 15 years in prison and Allah up 18 years in prison. A cash bail of $500 was set for Allah. Allah is expected back in court for a preliminary hearing on March 26.
On Thursday, Milwaukee police recovered the missing Stradivarius violin, at the 400 block of East side in a Bay View residence where Salahadyn had a friend store a suitcase in the attic. Salahadyn told police where he placed the violin after a plea agreement was reached for reduced charges.
The violin was found in good shape, according to police.
Salahadyn was charged in 1999 for stealing a small statue in 1995 from a downtown gallery.
Salahadyn and Allah and a woman, 32, were taken into custody on Monday morning after information and evidence, a Taser and Taser Probe connected Allah to the armed robbery. Salahadyn was known by police for a similar art theft in November 1995, when a small statue by Nicolas Africano was stolen from the Michael Lord Gallery at the Pfister Hotel. Salahadyn after four years later called the gallery owner to see, if he wanted to buy it back. The owner called police and Salahadyn was arrested.
Allah told police that he bought the taser for Salahadyn because he was a felon and couldn't buy one. The taser was then used by Salahadyn during the robbery. When police executed a search warrant at Allah's residence,  they found a bag of marijuana worth up to more than $300. Allah confessed, that he sold the marijuana to make money for bills.
The complaint states, that a tip led to the suspects and evidence left at the crime scene allowed police to trace it to Allah. A $100K reward was being offered for information leading to its recovery.
The 1715 Stradivarius rare violin was reported stolen at a parking lot located at the Wisconsin Lutheran College. Police say that Frank Almond, the concertmaster of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra along with other members had just finished a performance and were walking to their car in the parking when the robbery occured. Salahadyn approached Almond and used a taser on him, it caused him to drop the violin. Salahadyn then picked up the violin and fled the scene in a mini van near by.
Several hours later, the violin case was found iat Washington Park, including an iPad, police say. The violin was the primary target, Milwaukee Police Chief Flynn said, during the press conference.
The violin is likely the most valuable single item ever stolen in the Milwaukee area, but the value is only appreciated by few collectors.
"It is important to note that this violin is valuable to a very small number of people in the world and is not something easily sold for what it is worth," according to police.

Restaurant Employment Prosperity (Musical Tribute)

The following chart shows annual food services and drinking places employment growth.

3.7% annual growth! Very impressive. Each time we get a recession (the deeper the recession the better), we get more growth. More recessions for the win! Genius!

We just need to stay in that strong, resilient, predictable, and consistent trend channel long-term, preferably near the top. The long-term trend is so obvious that I don't even feel the need to add a trend line. Did I mention how stable and sustainable the channel is? Just look at it! A few more years of this and it will be almost impossible to leave the channel no matter what happens. Who doesn't love certainty?

The annual data in the first chart doesn't include 2014 yet, but I can give you a glimpse of how the year is starting off using monthly data.

There are a whopping 10.5 million people employed in this rapidly growing industry. Growth appears to have peaked back in July. As of January, the growth is still above 3% though and there's nothing but biscuits and gravy on the horizon! Can't you see it? And with average hourly earnings of production and nonsupervisory workers in this industry coming in at $10.96 (December 2013), what's not to like?

In honor of the charts, I suggest we all try to work Chipotle into our conversations (more than we already do). Start the day off right. When we wake up each morning we should exclaim, "What a great day to Chipotle!" Or alternatively, "The future's so bright I gotta Chipotle!"

City of West Branch Police Chief Mike Horihan in Iowa was canvassing an area where a gas station is located just off on I-80 and around 10:15 a.m. found Kaden J. Powell in a duffel bag. Our Economic Plague Ship (Musical Tribute)

Long-time reader mab offers the following comment in this post:

I'm watching CNBC. What's the deal? The "experts" keep blaming our economic ills on the cruise ship Queen Elizabeth!

In my opinion, this really deserves its own Christmas ship musical tribute!

Sing along! You know the tune!

Out in the Harbor

Out in the harbor, cruise ship ills
In through the dust mask, doctor bills
Down with economies, it destroys
Spreading little bugs, with sick bellboys

Oh, no, no! Who could've known?
Oh, no, no! Who wouldn't groan?
Out in the harbor, sick, sick, sick
In through the dust mask, it's ick, ick, ick

First came the sickness of little Bill
Oh dear God ships make him ill
Gave him a virus to choke and wheeze
One that fevered him to high degrees

Oh, no, no! Who could've known?
Oh, no, no! Who wouldn't groan?
Out in the harbor, sick, sick, sick
In through the dust mask, it's ick, ick, ick

Next came the sickness of little Mitt
Have we ever seen so much vomit?
Here was some fluid for what he lacked
Also a drug some say acts like crack

Oh, no, no! Who could've known?
Oh, no, no! Who wouldn't groan?
Out in the harbor, sick, sick, sick
In through the dust mask, it's ick, ick, ick

No day is complete without at least a little gallows humor. Sigh.

The Fed's 10-1 Leverage Has Paid Off! (Musical Tribute)

The following chart compares the trillions of dollars the monetary base has grown (in blue) to the trillions of dollars household net worth has grown (in red) since the first quarter of 2009.

Each dollar the Fed spends gets us back ten! Why on earth is the Fed tapering the sure thing? We need even moar leverage! Not less!

Crazy Theory

Let's cash out $10.8 trillion of household net worth (just half of the gain), hand it to the Fed, and let them reinvest it for us! We'll get $108 trillion back! We can then use that money to pay off all our debts and still have plenty left over! Perhaps even enough for every man, woman, and child to retire!

Why hasn't anyone else thought of this? Genius!

December 17-18, 2013
Minutes of the Federal Open Market Committee

Participants were most concerned about the marginal cost of additional asset purchases arising from risks to financial stability, pointing out that a highly accommodative stance of monetary policy could provide an incentive for excessive risk-taking in the financial sector.

Oops. Please disregard my crazy theory above. It would seem that I was offering the very thing the Fed is most worried about. You have to admit that it seemed like a darned good theory on paper though. I just hadn't factored in any unintended consequences. In my defense, it's really easy to do once I went down the "excessive risk-taking" path (gambling $10.8 trillion on a "sure thing" would definitely qualify).

Jay Leno says goodbye

Deadline reports “I don’t like goodbyes – NBC does – but I don’t care for them,” an emotional Jay Lenosaid, kicking off a star-studded final broadcast show as host of The Tonight Show. “Tonight is our last show for real. I don’t need to be fired three times — I get the hint,” Leno joked to a friends-and-family studio audience as he ended his 22-year run Thursday night. It’s his second very-last-time-as-host — having been pushed aside in 2009 by NBC to make way for Conan O’Brien, who lasted seven months.

“I’ve got to tell you, the outpouring from people has really been touching. Anthony Weiner sent me a photo of his penis looking really sad.
