Is Dynasty Going to Walk Like a Duck off A&E?

I don’t know how this is gonna turn out.  But, however it does it WILL be for the good of the Robertson family.  Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Duck Dynasty could very well be done.

Sources connected to the hit A&E show, and the Robertson clan, tell E! News that the family is "very serious" about leaving the reality series, after the network suspended patriarch Phil Robertsonfor his GQ interview, in which he grouped homosexuality in with bestiality as deviant behavior.

"They're an extremely tight-knit family and they're not going to let this get in the way," a source connected to the family explains. "[Phil] is the reason for their success—they're not going to abandon him. They're also not about to let anyone threaten their religious beliefs."
Says one insider who works on Duck Dynasty, "People who work on the show feel like it's a big pissing match and there is no way that anyone can win."

The current plan is to include Robertson in the upcoming fifth season, set to premiere Jan 15 on A&E. Season four had wrapped production before the controversy began. "Phil might be diminished but there's no way to cut him out altogether," says a source.
But can the family really walk away? Will a fifth season even happen?

The network owns the series and all of the intellectual property behind it, for at least one more season. But as one source points out, "The family could do appear on another network once their exclusivity is up with A&E. Under a normal contract, that usually means anywhere from six months to a year after the final episode has aired. However, if the family breaks their agreement with the network, the network could hold them for longer."

It's also fair to assume that A&E needs the series more than the family does. Duck Dynasty is A&E's highest-rated show of all time, and has put the cable network on the map. It is the second-biggest cable series of the year, behind AMC's The Walking Dead, and the Christmas special pulled in nearly 9 million viewers.

Ya Just Can't Make This Stuff Up!

Liberty -vs- Tyranny

Below is a statement made by Ian Baynes, Congressman from the 11th district of Illinois. I guess to the muddled minds of some floating on the fringes the comparison makes perfect sense.

Yep, for some the best thing to do when in a hole is to keep digging, I guess.

BUCK DYNASTY STAR IS ROSA PARK OF OUR GENERATION

Friday, December 20th, 2013 @ 4:23PM

Today, Ian Bayne called Phil Robertson, star of the A&E series “Duck Dynasty,” the ‘Rosa Parks’ of our generation.

“In December 1955, Rosa Parks took a stand against an unjust societal persecution of black people, and in December 2013, Robertson took a stand against persecution of Christians,” said Bayne.

Parks, famous for refusing to give up her seat on a bus for a white person, as was the rule of her day, provided inspiration for a movement of equality of black people and white people in America.

“What Parks did was courageous,” said Bayne. “What Mr. Robertson did was courageous too.”

Bayne believes that the Duck Dynasty star knew that going on GQ would result in the current controversy going on surrounding his suspension, as well as his suspension.

Bayne added that this exposure of Robertson’s situation is an eye opener for many who may have been previously in disbelief that the bible is fast becoming considered “hate speech” by the media and society.

Sticky Rate Valve

The following chart shows the spread between the 1-year adjustable rate mortgage rate and the 1-year treasury rate.

There's a problem with the "Fed Sir" valve. We 'll need some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads. That's in addition to the ball bearings and ten quarts of Quaker State antifreeze of course.

‘After Christmas’ Sales Arrive Extra Early This Year — Like Now, Basically

What’s especially interesting is that in some cases, consumers won’t have to wait until after Christmas for the arrival of “after Christmas” sales. In the same way that retailers have messed with the timing of Black Friday sales — which certainly began on Thanksgiving Thursday, and were launched a week earlier by some stores — shoppers can expect to be presented with “after Christmas” deals before Christmas.

The internal consumption engine clearly lacks fuel. How else can one explain a pre-Christmas post-Christmas sale? This could lead to shopping exhaust. Hope it doesn't backfire.

Just know that if the paper is flapping in and out and sucking against the tailpipe any at all, then you have issues with your valves and that they need to be checked out by your local mechanic.

There's plenty of paper flapping and it can definitely suck for some. No doubt about it.

6 Ways You Can Beat Someone's Cash Offer When Buying A Home

5. Pay extra. Spending more money to beat a cash offer sounds crazy. But cash buyers nearly always expect a discount from the seller simply because they’re offering cash. As a result, the cash buyer will often make a lower offer. To increase your chances, top the cash offer. If you plan to live in the house for years, and it’s the home of your dreams, paying a bit extra may well be worth it.

Just pay extra! Genius! Since this one is guaranteed to work, forget the other 5 ways! Rates are nominally low but relatively high (see first chart). Prices have already fully recovered to normal pre-bubble levels (real median prices, November 2013 dollars). What could possibly go wrong again?

Speaking of what could possibly go wrong, I was watching the financial news on TV today and they ran a story about a couple who had lost their home. They couldn't afford the payments. Now that very same house is being rented back to them with payments $200 higher. It looks like a really nice house. That said, I might have been tempted to downsize on the off chance that this new and improved economy experiences yet another kick to the gonads at some point, but hey, perhaps that's just me.

Mayorkas Confirmed As Deputy Secretary For USDHS Despite Open Investigation For Wrongdoing

Alejandro Mayorkas and Leon Rodriguez

Mayorkas becomes the first U.S. Senate confirmation while being investigated for wrongdoing by the inspector general on allegations of overruling career offcers of the USCIS where he was chief, to allow visa requests from well connected democrats.

December 20, 2013

Washington, D.C. On Friday, the U.S. Senate confirmed Alejandro Mayorkas, former chief of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on a vote of 54-41 to become the next deputy secretary for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Mayorkas is under investigation of wrongdoing by the inspector general for overruling USCIS career officials and allowing visa requests from well connected democrats. The inspector general quit in amidst of the probe.
It's the first time in history that the Senate has confirmed a nominee while he has a pending investigation. The Democrats changed the rules of a filibuster by making it just a majority vote to gain approval for Mayorkas. The U.S. Senate is controlled by Democrats and President Barack H. Obama nominated Mayorkas as deputy director of DHS.
Also, President Obama nominated Leon Rodriguez to become chief of USCIS and replace outgoing Mayorkas. Rodriguez is the current Director of the Office for Civil Rights of the Department of Health and Human Services. From January 2010 until September 2011, Leon was the Chief of Staff and Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division.

Canada's highest court struck down the country's anti-prostitution laws

Canada's highest court struck down the country's anti-prostitution laws
TORONTO (AP) — Canada's highest court struck down the country's anti-prostitution laws in their entirety Friday, including against keeping a brothel.
The 9-0 Supreme Court ruling is a victory for sex workers seeking safer working conditions because it found that the laws violated the guarantee to life, liberty and security of the person. But the ruling won't take effect immediately because it gave Parliament a one-year reprieve to respond with new legislation.
Prostitution isn't illegal in Canada, but many of the activities associated with prostitution are classified as criminal offences.

Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson a victim of Cultural Apartheid

I think it’s pretty obvious that a sliver of the U.S. population controls the corrupt media, academia, and government institutions.  These are the Elites who make it their business to indoctrinate only one secular point of view.  Anyone who deems to step outside the politically correct group think either faces intimidation or destruction.

These are the forces that were unleashed against Phil Robertson for simply stating a personal opinion that reflects religious convictions shared by over one billion Christians, one billion Muslims, and millions of Jews.  If racial apartheid was wrong in South Africa, cultural apartheid is equally as wrong here in America.

ROP teacher shot two to three times by teens at Edison High School in Southwest Fresno

This teacher was able to wrestle a gun away from one of the thugs after he got shot.  Tough guy!
KSFN reports a teacher is recovering in the hospital after being shot around 7 p.m. at Edison High School in Southwest Fresno Thursday.  See video

Police say four or five teenagers tried to rob the teacher inside a classroom at the school. The teacher was shot several times in the abdomen and leg.
Police say they found the teacher on the floor in his classroom but he was alert and gave a statement to officers as he was transported to the hospital. Detectives are now looking for the suspects.

Fresno police say the shooting happened in an athletic training classroom.
"The classroom door was open, teacher just doing his work when suddenly four juveniles came to rob him," Lt. Mike Doyle with the Fresno Police Department said.
Police say the teacher was able to wrestle away a handgun from one of the suspects after being shot.

"During the struggle, we're presuming that that is when he was injured several times. Right now, it's apparent he was shot two to three times," Doyle said.

The group of teenage boys ran off before police arrived, leaving the handgun behind. Investigators say the boys were also armed with another gun--possibly a long gun or sawed off shotgun. Police say several other teachers heard the shooting and are being interviewed by detectives.

The teacher's name has not been released yet. Police say the man is an athletic trainer and ROP teacher at Edison High School.

Police are still investigating the shooting to see if the teacher knew the suspects or if the shooting could be gang related.

Fresno Unified said Edison High School will be open Friday.
Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call the Fresno Police Department.

Duck Dynasty' Family: 'We Cannot Imagine the Show' Without Phil Robertson

The Robertson family is not backing down against unfair religious persecution!
Hollywood Reporter reports the reality stars have issued a statement amid the controversy surrounding the family patriarch's anti-gay remarks, saying it is in discussions with A&E about the future of the series.

"We want to thank all of you for your prayers and support. The family has spent much time in prayer since learning of A&E's decision.  We want you to know that first and foremost we are a family rooted in our faith in God and our belief that the Bible is His word.  While some of Phil’s unfiltered comments to the reporter were coarse, his beliefs are grounded in the teachings of the Bible," reads a statement posted on the family's Duck Commander website. "Phil is a Godly man who follows what the Bible says are the greatest commandments: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart' and 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' Phil would never incite or encourage hate. We are disappointed that Phil has been placed on hiatus for expressing his faith, which is his constitutionally protected right. We have had a successful working relationship with A&E but, as a family, we cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm.  We are in discussions with A&E to see what that means for the future of Duck Dynasty.  Again, thank you for your continued support of our family."
