Claire Esther Davis Victim of Colorado school shooting passes away

This is incredibly tragic and my heart goes out to the Davis family!

  • AOL Newsreports a suburban Denver high school student who was shot in the head by a classmate died Saturday afternoon, hospital officials said in a statement.

Claire Davis, 17, was in critical condition after being shot at point-blank range at Arapahoe High School on Dec. 13. Friends and well-wishers had posted prayers online and raised money to help pay for her medical care.

"It is with heavy hearts that we share that at 4:29 p.m. this afternoon, Claire Davis passed away, with her family at her side," the statement from Littleton Adventist Hospital.

"Despite the best efforts of our physicians and nursing staff, and Claire's fighting spirit, her injuries were too severe and the most advanced medical treatments could not prevent this tragic loss of life. Claire's death is immensely heartbreaking for our entire community, our staff and our families."

Karl Pierson, 18, shot Davis, who just happened to be sitting nearby with a friend as Pierson, armed with a shotgun, ammunition strapped to his body, Molotov cocktails and a machete, entered the school and headed toward the library. Davis appeared to be a random target, Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson has said.

Pierson likely intended to track down a librarian who had disciplined him, but Robinson said Pierson's arsenal suggested Pierson intended to hurt many others at the school just 8 miles from Columbine High School.

Pierson set off one of the incendiary devices and fired five shots before killing himself just one minute and 20 seconds after entering the building. He knew a sheriff's deputy assigned to the school was closing in, Robinson said at a news conference.

Port St. Lucie teacher Quotaysha Jones: Mariposa Elementary School accused of having sex with a minor

Is the man shortage that bad dozens of teachers across the country are turning to teens for sexual relationships?
WPTV reports a Port St. Lucie elementary school teacher went before a judge this morning, for an alleged sexual relationship with a teenager.

Quotaysha Jones was charged this morning for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a minor. She asked the judge to be released on her own recognizance so she could return to work. Jones is a fifth grade teacher at mariposa elementary school.

The judge said the evidence against Jones was "quite strong" and set her bond at $5,000. Jones was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.

Schools superintendent told our News Partner at the Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers that Jones will be removed from the classroom and a substitute will be hired. Jones will remain on the school's payroll until the school board takes action.

Deputies say jJnes talked dirty and had sex with a 17-year-old boy who is in juvenile detention.

Deputies watched surveillance videos of their visits, saying Jones "asked the teen if he'd like to see her booty." the police report also quotes the teen as saying they had sex "between four and six times."

At one point, he allegedly told her "to be ready when he gets out because nine months (after) she would have a baby."

When deputies interviewed Jones, they say she called their relationship platonic, in contrast to what they allegedly heard on tape.

NewsChannel 5 went to her home address, but only had a door closed on WPTV reporter.

Milwaukee, WI - Edward Deshazer, 30, of Cudahy was cited for a misdemeanor count of OWI first offense and a felony count for reckless endangering safety after he drove the wrong way for 2.3 miles along the Hoan bridge. If convicted, Deshazer is facing up to 10 years in prison on both counts.
Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched around 2:00 a.m. to the Hoan bridge on I-794 after a construction worker reported that Deshazer was going southbound on the northbound lanes of I-794.
Deshazer than lost control and crashed his white 2007 Ford expedition on the GM barrier walls near North Carferry Drive, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO). Deshazer tested .18 on the PBT, a field preliminary breath test.

Uganda passes anti-gay law with maximum sentence of life imprisonment

The African condiment doesn’t play Gay and are one of the most fiercest proponents of traditional relationships on the planet.

The Independent reports Ugandan MPs on Friday passed an anti-gay law that sets life imprisonment as the maximum penalty for the new  offence of “aggravated homosexuality”. The bill had included the death penalty when it was introduced in 2010, but that was removed from the revised version.

Homosexuality was already illegal in Uganda, under a colonial-era law that criminalised sexual acts “against the order of nature”, but the politician who wrote the new law argued that tough legislation was needed, because homosexuals from the West threatened to destroy Ugandan families and were allegedly “recruiting” Ugandan children into gay lifestyles.
