Bill de Blasio Flower girl daughter Chiara de Blasio reveals drug, alcohol abuse Before Father takes oath as mayor

The biggest reason why Bill de Blasio won his election as mayor of New York was the image of his two mixed race children fronting his campaign.  There was Dante with his deep voice, good looks and a ten inch Afro that blew away the primary field of nobodys.  De Blasio was a nobody too, but boy those two kids are cute.

Chiara de Blasio wasn’t as prominent as Dante, but she got to do her own commercial for the general campaigned.  By then de Blasio had a huge lead in the polls over an inept GOP candidate.  So what the heck?

But, now we know why she wasn’t the front man like her brother Dante.

Politicoreports in an unusual and moving Christmas Eve video, the college-age daughter of New York City Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio is revealing for the first time her struggle with alcohol, drugs and depression — and is urging others in need to get help.

“I’ve had depression, clinical depression, for my entire adolescence and so that’s been something that I’ve always dealt with — or [have] not known how to deal with,” Chiara de Blasio, 19, says in the nearly five-minute video released Tuesday by her father’s transition office. “It made it easier, the more I drank or did drugs, to share some common ground with people that I wouldn’t have.”

The turning point for her, Chiara says, was when her therapist referred her to an outpatient treatment center in New York City where she could work in group therapy sessions with other patients her age. She credits her parents and that treatment program for her sobriety.

So now we know de Blasio’s family is composed of an ex Lesbian wife and a drug addict/alcoholic daughter.  Bill de Blasio is Neo-Communist.  We don’t know Dante’s deal yet.  But, New York progressives are eating this all up and loving it.

Smellin' a Pay Day:Jesse Jackson throws in his 2 nonsensical cents 'Duck Dynasty' star's comments

Jesse smells money in the Louisiana water!

Chicago Tribune reports Jesse Jackson Sr. has jumped into the controversy surrounding comments by Phil Robertson, star of A&E’s backwoods reality TV show, “Duck Dynasty.”
In an announcement sent out Tuesday, Jackson Sr. compared Robertson’s recent comments about African-Americans, gay people and women to comments made by the driver of Rosa Parks’ bus.

"At least the bus driver, who ordered Rosa Parks to surrender her seat to a white person, was following state law,” he said in the release. “Robertson's statements were uttered freely and openly without cover of the law, within a context of what he seemed to believe was ‘white privilege.’”

Jackson’s human rights group, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, has demanded meetings with A&E and with Cracker Barrel regarding the two companies’ treatment of Robertson, who stars in the show as the head of a Louisiana family that makes duck calls.

Clearly Jackson sees an opportunity to extort money under the table from scared organizations.  It’s what the race pimp does to be paid to go away.

(Updated)

Las Vegas, Nevada - On Monday, Gerardo Gamboa, 27, a driver who works for the Yellow Checker Star Taxi company (YCS) reported that he found a brown bag with $300,000 composed of $100 bills in 6 bundles of $50,000 each. Gamboa was picking up a passenger at the Bellago Casino when the doorman notice the bag and told Gamboa.
At a near stop light, Gamboa opened the bag and discovered the money. He showed the other passenger the money and asked him to be a witness, so to confirm he didn't take any money. After dropping off the passenger he returned to the YCS' s taxi headquarters and turned it in.
The taxi company called police and it was learned that a well known 28-year-old gambler had just won the amount. The money was returned to the owner who stopped by to shake Gamboa's hand and later gave him a $10,000 reward.
Gamboa told media outlets, that he needs money, but that he wasn't going to keep money that wasn't his.
For Gamboa's good deed, the taxi company made him taxi Driver of the Year, awarded him with $1,000 and an expensive dinner for two, according to Joel Willden, the Yellow Checker Star field operations manager.

Florida teen baseball star William Brandon Aydelott gruesomely murders his Mom after a bloody Christmas Eve argument

The holidays can be a very stressful time when pent up emotions are bound to blow up sooner or later.
Daily Mailreports a 17-year-old high school baseball star has been charged with murder after beating his mother with a bat then viciously hacking her to death on Christmas Eve, police say.

Police found Sharon Hill Aydelott in a pool of blood at her home in Gulf Breeze, Florida, with her throat slashed and a large kitchen knife sticking out of her eye socket about 6pm Tuesday.

Her son, William Brandon Aydelott, a promising pitcher on the Gulf Breeze High School baseball team, was arrested and confessed to killing her after a heated argument, authorities say.

Ms Aydelott was found dead in her home after a friend stopped by to check on her, the Northwest Florida Daily News reports.

Brandon had been staying at a friend's house on-and-off since September because of a rocky relationship between mother and son, police say.
Detectives say that after the murder, he fled the home and went back to the house where he had been staying.

5 Shot, 3 Killed Outside Strip Club In Irvington New Jersey

Not even the criminal element takes a break for Christmas.

CBS New York reports crime didn’t take a holiday early Christmas morning.

Five people were shot just after midnight outside Slick’s GoGo Bar on Nye Avenue and 21st Street in Irvington, N.J.

“It appears the gunman was trying to enter the bar armed and was stopped by the bouncer,” said Chief Anthony Ambrose of the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

The man then apparently opened fire.

Pierre Clervoyent, 24, of Elizabeth, and Woodley Daniel, 32, of Irvington, were killed, authorities said. The third victim has been identified as Mushir Cureton, 27, of Newark. Officials said he “appears to be an unintended target.”
Two other men, 27 and 34, were shot.

Clervoyent is the club owner’s son, authorities said.

Alfred Lawson, who lives nearby, told 1010 WINS he never goes to the bars in the neighborhood because they’re too dangerous.

Another man, who did not want to be identified, told 1010 WINS he wasn’t surprised.
“There’s always shootings there, man. That ain’t the first time somebody got shot and killed at Slick’s, that happens all the time,” the man said. “It’s terrible out here, that ain’t nothing surprising.”

A witness said the gunman fled the scene in a gray car, 1010 WINS reported.

NIPCC report disputes the conventional wisdom about climate change

NIPCC report disputes the conventional wisdom about climate change
Commentary by James H. Shott

The Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) is a panel of scientists organized in 2003 by Dr. S. Fred Singer and the Science & Environmental Policy Project. Unlike the better-known Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which is a government-sponsored and politically motivated group with a man-causes-global-warming bias, the NIPCC receives no funding from government and does not share the IPCC’s predisposition that climate change is man-made and therefore requires a United Nations solution.

Hence, Dr. Singer’s group, which consists of some 50 independent scientists from universities and private institutions around the world (the US, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Norway, Canada, Italy, the UK, France, Russia, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Spain) who disagree with the IPCC’s theory, “seeks to objectively analyze and interpret data and facts without conforming to any specific agenda,” according to a summary of the 1,200-page report “Climate Change Reconsidered II: Physical Science” that was released in September of this year.

Most of what we read, see and hear from the media is the opinion held and promoted by the United Nations’ IPCC. No matter what your opinion about whether or not human activities have a significant effect, or any effect, on the Earth’s climate, it certainly cannot hurt to have available the analysis of a group of scientists – the NIPCC – that believes the data show a different reality than that promoted by the IPCC.

Among the group’s findings are:

•    Atmospheric CO2 is a mild greenhouse gas that exerts a diminishing warming effect as its concentration increases.

•    Earth has not warmed significantly for the past 16 years despite an 8 percent increase in atmospheric CO2 emissions, which represents 34 percent of all extra CO2 added to the atmosphere since the start of the industrial revolution.

•    The causes of historic global warming remain uncertain, but significant correlations exist between climate patterning and multidecadal variation and solar activity over the past few hundred years.

•    The overall warming since about 1860 corresponds to a recovery from the Little Ice Age modulated by natural multidecadal cycles driven by ocean-atmosphere oscillations, or by solar variations at the de Vries (~208 year) and Gleissberg (~80 year) and shorter periodicities.

•    CO2 is a vital nutrient used by plants in photosynthesis. Increasing CO2 in the atmosphere “greens” the planet and helps feed the growing human population.

•    No close correlation exists between temperature variation over the past 150 years and human-related CO2 emissions. The parallelism of temperature and CO2 increase between about 1980 and 2000 AD could be due to chance and does not necessarily indicate causation.

•    The causes of historic global warming remain uncertain, but significant correlations exist between climate patterning and multidecadal variation and solar activity over the past few hundred years.

The summary also presents key facts about surface temperature that argue against the UN IPCC’s position, a few of which follow:

•    Whether today’s global surface temperature is seen to be part of a warming trend depends upon the time period considered.

•    Over (climatic) time scales of many thousand years, temperature is cooling; over the historical (meteorological) time scale of the past century temperature has warmed. Over the past 16 years, there has been no net warming despite an increase in atmospheric CO2 of 8 percent. (See second bullet above.)

•    There was nothing unusual about either the magnitude or rate of the late twentieth century warming pulses represented on the HadCRUT record, both falling well within the envelope of known, previous natural variations.

•    No empirical evidence exists to support the assertion that a planetary warming of 2 degrees Centigrade would be net ecologically or economically damaging.

These findings by this group of international scientists that contradict the positions of the IPCC gain strength from the evidence of fraud among scientists at the Climatic Research Unit at Britain’s University of East Anglia, many associated with the IPCC. Emails exchanged between these scientists obtained in 2009 demonstrated fraud, dishonesty and errors in the arguments supporting the theory of man-made global warming.

As reported in Human Events online edition, some of the emails revealed contempt for disagreeable scientific data and a “slavish devotion to the climate change political agenda pushed by the politicians and government bureaucrats funding their research.”

In the report’s Conclusion the authors say: “Few scientists deny that human activities can have an effect on local climate or that the sum of such local effects could hypothetically rise to the level of an observable global signal. The key questions to be answered, however, are whether the human global signal is large enough to be measured and if it is, does it represent, or is it likely to become, a dangerous change outside the range of natural variability?”

The Conclusion includes a quote by British biologist Conrad Waddington from 1941: “It is … important that scientists must be ready for their pet theories to turn out to be wrong. Science as a whole certainly cannot allow its judgment about facts to be distorted by ideas of what ought to the true, or what one may hope to be true.”

Those scientists who believe that man’s activities harm the planet should take this good advice to heart.

VIDEO: Black Southgeat Santa Xavier Hawkins shot in the back with pellet gun at toy giveaway

Maybe if he was White they would’ve used a bazooka?
WILA reports a man in a Santa Claus suit who has been identified as Xavier Hawkins was shot in the back with a pellet gun Tuesday morning during a toy giveaway in Southeast Washington.

The video is disturbing. The man dressed as Santa has led the annual Berry Farms gift giveaway for the last seven years, and according to an ABC7 photographer who was interviewing the victim at the time of the shooting, the he was struck in his upper back then transported to a nearby hospital with the pellet still lodged in his shoulder.

Witnesses report hearing two shots. Police believe they came from a second story window in a nearby building. The one pellet struck Santa as he walked through a crowd that included children.

“We could hear it coming out the window -- muffled, boom -- they didn't get hit. I'm glad I got hit and no one else got hurt," said the man in the Santa suit.
"Not on Christmas! Don't shoot Santa, that's bad," said witness J.D. Brown.
Even as paramedics treated his wounds, "Santa" stayed remarkably festive – in fact, he wanted to stay and give out gifts, but medics said no.

So this year, a D.C. ambulance replaced the sleigh in Southeast.

"It''s all good, it's not going to stop the show," said Hawkins.

At least -- not with the families of 600 children waiting for 1,800 donated toys. Thanks to the Grinch, Christmas was saved at Berry Farms.

An Irrational Fancy: A Tale of Two Charts

In blue (left scale), we have the 5-year treasury yield minus the 5-year CD rate. I claim that the current spread is as irrational now as it was in 2007. This can be forgiven perhaps since the typical investor is never told to buy a 5-year treasury directly from the government. Wall Street cannot earn a penny on purchases made outside of their control.

In red (right scale), we have the S&P 500 index adjusted for inflation. I claim that the current inflation adjusted index is as irrational now as it was in 2000 and 2007. This can be forgiven perhaps since the typical investor is never told to buy a 5-year treasury directly from the government. Wall Street cannot earn a penny on purchases made outside of their control.

It is by no means an irrational fancy that, in a future existence, we shall look upon what we think our present existence, as a dream. - Edgar Allan Poe

Panhandling Or Just Down On His Luck On Christmas Eve

Homeless man, unknown

Photo: HNG

Christmas Eve and should be the busiest day to get donations as a homeless man down on his luck.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 24, 2013

St. Paul, MN - On Tuesday, I thought I've seen it all, but life is full of surprises. Just saw a homeless man next to I-94E and 10E with a sign that says, "Lost everything, but my faith." No wonder he is homeless. In a capitalist nation, people can't live or survive on faith alone, but can be a step in the right direction.
A friend says, he should be shoveling snow somewhere to make money, but at -12 degrees? He is probably trying to scam people into giving up some hard earned cash on Christmas Eve? My friend believes that the homeless man is just panhandling.  Who knows, what do you think?

Merry Xmas To All!
