NY RINO Republican/Tea Party Basher/Thug congressman Michael Grimm caught on camera threatening TV reporter for asking him about campaign finance probe after State of the Union

The thugs come out at night in the halls of Congress!

This was Peter King’s partner in bashing Ted Cruz and real conservatives during the government shutdown last October.  I'll never forgive this bum for that and now I’m not really upset he’s caught in a jam.
Daily Mail reports congressman Michael Grimm, a Republican from Staten Island, was caught on camera threatening a NY1 reporter with extreme physical violence following Tuesday night's State of the Union address.

The verbal confrontation between Grimm and veteran political correspondent Michael Scotto came during a brief interview discussing President Barack Obama's annual speech, which the GOP congressman labeled 'divisive.'
Scotto then attempted to question Grimm about the federal investigation into his 2010 campaign fundraising, but the politician immediately cut the reporter off, refusing to answer any further questions.

If the reporter wanted he could have Grimm arrested for assault.

Beloved Chicago Catholic school teacher Alan Filan 'stabbed to death by hooker Alisha Walker he met online': cops

This story confirms the circumstances of this teacher using an on line classified to hook up with a prostitute.
NY DailyNews reports a popular teacher at a Chicago Catholic school was stabbed to death in his own home by a hooker he'd met online, police said.

Alan Filan, 61, was allegedly knifed repeatedly at his Orland Park house by Alisha Walker, 20, on Jan. 18 after they argued about money.

The duo, who'd made contact through classifieds website Backpage.com, had reportedly met at least twice before the alleged attack.

Walker, from Akron, Ohio, fled after the incident - which she claims was self-defence after Filan allegedly threatened a friend of hers also inside the home.
She was arrested in Fort Wayne, Ind., on Friday.
Charged with first-degree murder, she has since waived her extradition rights and will be transferred back to Illinois.

Our Manufacturing Employment Boom Bubble

The following chart shows the annual change in manufacturing employees. I'm using semiannual data to filter out some of the noise.

How can people be optimistic about the future of long-term employment when looking at that chart? Is it because they are looking at the following chart instead (and cherry picking just the good stuff)?

Cherry Picked Goodness

1. The growth rate is still positive! Hurray!
2. It's different this time! Woohoo!
3. Thanks to the Fed, recessions are now impossible!
4. We've lost more than 5 million manufacturing jobs since 2000. 12 million to go.

Can't you see that we're being Khan'd?

He is intelligent, but not experienced. His pattern indicates two-dimensional thinking. - Spock, The Wrath of Khan (1982)

One-dimensional thinking: The growth rate is still positive.
Two-dimensional thinking: The growth rate is positive but slowing.
Three-dimensional thinking: Somethin's poppin' and it ain't popcorn.

This is not investment advice. As always, just opinions.

dining room updates

I've been meaning to tell you, my mom is a genius. Of course I knew this already, but let me just share with you her latest example of genius-ness.

I am generally happy with my dining room and the church pew works like a charm to corral the girls during dinner but there was one small problem with the layout. When anyone over the age of 16 sat at the pew, they had a good chance of knocking their head against the mirror before dessert was served.

So often I would blather to my mom on the phone about wanting to put something behind the bench to create a bit of breathing room between guests and the big O (that would be the mirror, not Oprah). A console would be perfect, but I can't find a console that is as long as the bench and isn't thousands of dollars. Blah blah blah. It was probably around this point in the conversation that my mom would tell me she had to go so she didn't have to listen to this conversation...yet again.

Then we were downstairs (pre-family room makeover) and she said, "What about this console for behind the pew?" Uh, that's not long enough mom, duh. And it's too deep. To which the smarty pants said, "not if you cut it in half."

Mind blown.

I should clarify that this woman is a furniture lover of the first degree and doesn't normally condone furniture mutilation. But this particular piece was a random HomeGoods buy (we all have a few of those around the house) and is by no means precious.

So of course I took that sucker outside as quickly as I could, measured to find the exact middle of the table and asked the hubs to buzz that sucker in half. We kept the tape down as he cut to prevent any splitting and in no time flat I had myself one. long. console.

Although each side of the now super long console still had two legs to hold it up, it was a bit wobbly. To remedy this we just screwed each side of the console into the wall to hold it in place and we were done.

So nothing earth shattering but now all of my dinner guests can enjoy themselves without bonking their head in the middle of an animated story. (we host a lot of animated storytellers at our house). And really I'm a fan of little updates to a room. It feeds my constant appetite for change without chucking a room and starting over again every few months ($$$$$$)

The runner is a temporary one I made from fabric leftovers and extra ribbon. It will hang out until I find a more permanent replacement one day.

What about you? Do you make a lot of little changes around the house to pacify the 'itch'? Ever cut a piece of furniture in half? I'm willing to rent my mom out to anyone who needs her, although maybe I should ask her first.

Sheriff Deputies MISTREATING PEOPLE

Law Enforcement Violations against we the people

WARNING:
G4T DISCLAIMER:  Watch out here as this looks really legitimate and all of the sudden the guy is reporting news that he recently categorized as play acting and stage acting.  What do you really have here?  Is the PLAY ACTING and STAGE ACTING again?

I wonder if the chap here named John is aware of G4T's shenanigans?

So watch the videos below (as they may be taken down soon) because it's really getting strange as G4T is acting like a reporter again.  Perhaps he's just out to make these Libertarians look like a bunch of jerks later.  Is this John guy really a southern California activist?  Is he supporting some new sheriff?  Find out:

And by the way:  Has anyone noticed that G4T's  "Ranch Boss" pal in Texas is making stupid videos now too?

BACK ON TOPIC HERE with G4T in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA:
Perhaps this is infiltration of Libertarian groups by agent provocateurs to launch the nation into more chaos and exploit them for their own entertainment purposes?

I'm curious if the chap in the videos below is a staged PLAY ACTOR or STAGE ACTOR or if he'd really be pissed off if he found out he's getting played with.  Remember that southern California has a load of Hollywood actors who like to do this sort of thing:

Hoaxter Rick Dyer Says, He Killed A Second Bigfoot

Rick Dyer and farce Bigfoot

Known bigfoot hoaxter told followers on Monday, that he killed a second Bigfoot.

By H. Nelson Goodson
January 29, 2014

Last Vegas, Nevada - On Monday, Rick Dyer, a self-proclaimed Bigfoot hunter, tracker and hoaxter has announced in a YouTube posting on his Facebook page that he killed a second Bigfoot. He recently cancelled a February 9, press conference because some of the scientists who were going to confirm his first kill from September 2012 would not be available.
He released several photos of the alleged Bigfoot kill, but to date hasn't been able to release any scientific proof.
Dyer says, he just invested a large amount of funds to make t-shirts, signs and other items for his upcoming Bigfoot national tour and promotional campaign. People will be charged a fee for viewing a Bigfoot specimen,  which has been labeled as a farce specimen by many critics that Dyer calls "Haters." A group of taxidermists from Alaska, including Russell Knight, a taxidermist wanted to inspect Dyer's Bigfoot specimen, but he wants $20K upfront for Knight and the others to inspect it.
He told followers on Tuesday, that in 2008 he had to pull a hoax after the body of a Bigfoot that he killed was taken by a group of "Men in Black." None of those details were ever mentioned back in 2008 and Dyer wants people to believe that he actually killed three Bigfoots, so far. It seems Dyer continues to pray on people's ignorance in order to make a buck.
Yes, Dyer admitted that his is real greedy and would like to make up to $90K a month (on a farce) Bigfoot kill. Because as it stands today, he hasn't been able to provide any prove that he actually killed one Bigfoot in 2012 and now has admitted to killing a second one. Not mentioning, that he actually admitted in an interview with Wake Up Australia that a second Bigfoot got away after killing one in September 2012 in some rural woods in San Antonio, Texas.
There are hundreds of Bigfoot hunters in America and none has even come close to catching one alive or even killed one. At least, they're honest enough to admit they haven't got one as Dyer has done.
Dyer is hoping to make millions per month once he can come out publicly with the scientific documentation proving that he has killed at least two Bigfoots.
Now, Dyer is in double trouble because he has to actually prove to people wanting to pay to view a specimen and investors who are willing to fund his Bigfoot project that it's not a scam or an illegal scheme conducted by Dyer and his team.
If Dyer has taken any funds on the pretext that the two specimens are real Bigfoots and aren't, Dyer and his crew might be facing a criminal investigation by both state and federal authorities.

Update:

(HNNUSA) - On Wednesday, Rick Dyer apparently took some hair from his alleged Bigfoot specimen and lit it in front of a Telemundo Las Vegas reporter. The reporter in the YouTube video posted by Dyer says, it smelled similar to burned human hair.
Dyer didn't release any documentation of scientific data or DNA sequencing and testing to prove it was actually a real Bigfoot.

Rare Stradivarius Violin Worth $6M Stolen During Milwaukee Armed Robbery

Stradivarius violin

A $100K reward is being offered for information leading to the return of the stolen rare Stradivarius violin.

By H. Nelson Goodson
January 28, 2014

Milwaukee, WI - On Monday, a $6M Stradivarius rare violin made in 1715 was reported stolen around 10:20 p.m. at a parking lot of the Wisconsin Lutheran College, Milwaukee police reported. Police say that Frank Almond, the concertmaster of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra along with other members have just finished a performance and were walking to their car in the parking when the robbery occured.  A suspect approached Almond and used a taser on him, it caused him to drop the violin. The suspect then picked up the violin and fled the scene in a mini van near by, which was driven by second suspect.
The violin case was found in Washington Park and including an iPad police say. The violin was the primary target, Chief Edward Flynn said during a press conference.
The violin is likely the most valuable single item ever stolen in the Milwaukee area, but the value is only appreciated by few collectors.
"It is important to note that this violin is valuable to a very small number of people in the world and is not something easily sold for what it is worth," according to police.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation Art Crimes Team from their Virginia headquarters has joined the Milwaukee police in their investigation and recovery of the violin.
The violin has been entered into the international art theft database. The FBI team works with Interpol to connect with international art dealers who are able to help locate stolen items throughout international markets, police reported on Tuesday.
Interpol has been notified of the stolen violin.

Cops: Two Syosset teens found, 1 still missing from group home

Definitely good news finding the two teens. Hopefully the third can be located as well.

NY Newsday reports a 15-year-old boy who left a Syosset group home Sunday night in the bitter cold remained missing Tuesday night, though Nassau police found two companions in Bay Shore and returned them Monday night, officials said.

Police confirmed Missing Persons Squad officers located Shakeem Smith, 14, and Gabriel Hernandez, 16, but said detectives were still trying to find Jonathan Acevedo, 15.

The trio disappeared from the MercyFirst group home on Convent Road in Syosset about 8 p.m. Sunday -- especially alarming, police said, because Smith has a cognitive disability.
Gerard McCaffery, president and chief executive of MercyFirst Group Homes, said by telephone the two boys were just "hanging out" when they were found by police.

He provided no further details about where they were located. Bay Shore is about 22 miles from Syosset.

"We are happy to have the two youths back and will keep doing all we can to find the third youth and have him returned as well," he said later by email.

Such incidents were not "infrequent," he said, and typically involved youngsters who want to be with family or friends.

"They went AWOL; they wanted to be someplace other than us," McCaffery said.
One of the teens who was retrieved "triggered this," he added.

The one teen's disability handicap prompted the police to issue a Silver Alert, the way they would for an adult suffering from Alzheimer's or dementia, a Nassau police spokewoman said.

What is not to love about a Sunday morning even on a cold winter day? I put on a casual (with sporty influences ) outfit and Bogdan and I did some grocery shopping. The the rest of the afternoon I spent it peacefully at home with cups of hot chocolate looking for inspiration on Pinterest. This is what I love about Sundays in particular: that everything is slowing down for one day and we get to enjoy more the simple things.
