It's about time to share with you photos from NYFW with my favorites Fashion Shows and presentations. Unfortunately I couldn't take pictures from each show that I went to ( bad sitting or standing location and also I think my camera is not that good for inside or low light) but at least there are a few great shots that I wanted to show you.
Now let me know if you have any favorites because I definitely have one: Clover Canyon is again the winner this season!

Student calls Walpole High School teacher a ‘Communist’ for not letting him watch USA Olympic hockey, gets detention

School is about doing school work, not watching the Olympics.  It’s not like the World Series or something.
Fansided reports the United States men’s hockey team is doing incredibly well, as is the women’s team for that matter. Everyone across the country is trying to watch as much USA Olympic hockey as they can, but sometimes teachers and bosses get in the way.

One person shared a story involving his brother and a teacher who wouldn’t let him watch. The student then responded by calling the teacher a communist, three times.

The reader wrote to Barstool Sports:
My little brother goes to Walpole High School and on Thursday asked to watch the USA vs. Slovakia game during Spanish class. When his teacher said no he called her a communist. She gave him a detention for it. Attached is a picture of the detention slip she gave him. VIVA.

The note is dated 2/13 (see below), which means it was the USA’s 7-1 beat down of Slovakia.

Personally I haven’t watched one minute of the games in Sochi.

SURVEY: 98% of Faith Driven Consumers Dissatisfied With 'NOAH'

I don’t know how faithful this film will be to the Scriptures.  I won’t know until I see it for myself.  But, this is not a good sign here.
Variety reports despite its Biblical inspiration, Paramount’s upcoming “Noah” may face some rough seas with religious audiences, according to a new survey by Faith Driven Consumers.

The religious organization found in a survey that 98% of its supporters were not “satisfied” with Hollywood’s take on religious stories such as “Noah,” which focuses on Biblical figure Noah. Faith Driven Consumers has been tracking the viability of major Hollywood films courting faith-based audiences this year.

“As a Faith Driven Consumer, are you satisfied with a Biblically themed movie – designed to appeal to you – which replaces the Bible’s core message with one created by Hollywood?” asked the survey.

Faith Driven Consumers surveyed its supporters over  several days and based the results on a collected 5,000+ responses. They are also the group behind IStandWithPhil.com, which campaigned for Phil Robertson in light of his suspension from A&E’s “Duck Dynasty.”

“Noah” will be released in March starring Russell Crowe and directed by Darren Aronofsky, with a reported budget of $125 million.

Believe me Hollywood is not making this movie out of the goodness of their heart.  They're reacting to the popularity of the cable series The Bible and are trying to cash in.

Another Day, Another Shooting, and Another Teen Dies...

Rational Nation USA
Purveyor of Truth

A majority of Americans support the 2'nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Actually the more accurate statement is a majority of Americans support the right of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms responsibly, without endangering innocent individuals, or using deadly force except in an act of self defense against an assailant. That is how I see it anyway, and honestly believe most others do as well.

However, as we continue to witness unnecessary deaths by firearms in ever increasing frequency even the most staunch 2'nd Amendment right advocates (I consider myself in that group) need to begin to ask themselves what measures must we take to end the growing firearm violence. Surely a nation of intelligent people ought to be able to protect the right of the responsible and well balanced citizens to have firearms and at the same time do a better job of protecting society from the senseless violence we as a nation almost seem to expect as a price of our right to firearm ownership.

Maybe it is time, no, it is time the NRA, firearm manufactures, and the House and Senate get serious about taking responsible actions, enforcing universal background checks, reasonable waiting or cooling off periods, prohibiting sale of firearms at gun shows, resolving reasonably the concern over high cap magazines, etc, and etc.

I realize the measures I mentioned above may not have prevented the shooting death of 15 year old Adrian Broadway by 48 year old Willie Noble this past Saturday in Arkansas. However, for me this is yet another indication of a deep national problem that has grown to completely unacceptable levels. As near as I can tell we are doing little to nothing as a nation.

The Daily Banter - In Little Rock, Arkansas, a 15-year-old girl, Adrian Broadway, and several of her friends were egging a rival friend’s car as payback for a Halloween prank last year. The friend’s father, Willie Noble, appeared brandishing a shot-gun. Noble allegedly fired at kids while they sat in their car. Broadway later died at Children’s Hospital of a gunshot wound to the head.

Charges have been filed in the shooting death of a 15-year-old girl early Saturday morning.

48-year-old Willie Noble is charged with First Degree Murder, committing a Terrorist Act, and five counts of Aggravated Assault.

Another good guy with a gun — another law-abiding gun owner — taking the law into his own hands.

Great Depressionary Quote of the 21st Century: "Massive Industrial Overcapacity"

The following chart shows industrial capacity per capita (industrial production index adjusted for capacity utilization and population).

That's a 0.998 correlation over 27 years of data (Jan 1967 to Jan 1994). And then... Boom! Trend broken big time. That has to be one of the most impressive trend failures I've ever posted on this blog. It was so incredibly consistent and predictable right up until it wasn't.

It's not where we've been but where we are headed that concerns me most. Now that we have all this extra capacity, what's the worst that could happen from here?

PetroChina delays operation of refineries on overcapacity

BEIJING: PetroChina has put off starting up two new refineries and delayed expansion of another to counter the threat of overcapacity as oil demand growth slows in the world's second largest oil consumer, a company official said on Thursday.

China's oil consumption last year grew at its slowest in more than 20 years, calculations on government data showed on Monday, as soft economic growth sliced demand for transportation and industrial fuels such as diesel.

Overcapacity Threatens China Growth

The biggest obstacle facing China’s economy? Massive industrial overcapacity is near the top of the list as the country prepares to launch major reforms but seems intent on keeping gross domestic product growth from falling off too quickly.

Global Warming...The science is unequivocal

Global Warming...The science is unequivocal

“The science is unequivocal. And those who refuse to believe it are simply burying their heads in the sand,” he said in Jakarta, Indonesia. “Now, President Obama and I believe very deeply that we do not have time for a meeting anywhere of the Flat Earth Society.”
Secretary of State John Kerry

Secretary of State John Kerry injected some stridency into the Obama administration’s environmental advocacy on Sunday when he delivered a speech on the need for a coordinated, international response to climate change.
“The science is unequivocal. And those who refuse to believe it are simply burying their heads in the sand,” he said in Jakarta, Indonesia. “Now, President Obama and I believe very deeply that we do not have time for a meeting anywhere of the Flat Earth Society.”
The White House has been signalling a major push on climate change policy for months, but rarely have administration officials rejected denialism in such strongly worded terms. Nor have they discussed the potential effects of global warming with such specificity and urgency. Kerry, who described climate change as “the world’s most fearsome weapon of mass destruction,” dedicated much of his 45-minute speech to detailing the anticipated humanitarian and economic consequences.
“Scientists now predict that by the end of the century, the sea could rise by a full meter,” Kerry said. “Now, I know that to some people a meter may not sound like a lot, but I’ll tell you this: it’s enough to put half of Jakarta underwater. Just one meter would displace hundreds of millions of people worldwide and threaten billions of dollars in economic activity. It would put countries into jeopardy. It would put countless – I mean, come to the local level – it would put countless homes and schools and parks, entire cities at risk.”

Future Money Trends is invested in Brazil Resources

BRIZF

I'm going to start watching Daniel Ameduri's stock picks now and see how these guys make their money pumping stocks.  These guys are starting to talk collapse of the U.S. DOLLAR again as losing its PETRO-DOLLAR status.

Daniel Ameduri and Marin Katusa discuss the GOLD and SILVER market and MINING STOCKS.  Their strategy is to never have to work again.

Could it be that the elite are onto their game plan and are going to disappoint them?  Is this just a load of Ron Paul campaign supporters that lost their way as Ron Paul lost his road to the Republican ticket and the Libertarians suffered a major political disappointment?

Right now things are getting interesting in the markets because GOLD and SILVER just did a small thrust off some 3 YEAR LOWS.  Apparently these guys are looking for the "TEN BAGGERS" in the MINING SECTOR:

The U.S.A. has NO DEBT LIMIT

 There is NO DEBT CEILING

You cannot sink this economy

"There is no such thing as a debt ceiling in this country cause it's never been not increased and that's why we're $17 TRILLION in debt, and I would dispel the rumor that is going around that you hear on every newscast that if we don't raise the debt ceiling we will default on our debt--we won't."
Sen. Tom Coburn (R) Oklahoma

If this is true then why is anyone of us in debt?  I should be able to get unlimited credit increases on my CREDIT CARD, MORTGAGE, and AUTO LOAN and never have to pay it off.   This seems to only apply to the privileged who run the top end of the financial structure and those of us on the bottom have different rules:
