On a Different Note and Looking Ahead...

America seems to be in perpetual campaign mode. No sooner than things start to settle in following a mid term or presidential election than the pols start preparing for the next election and the spinning starts in earnest. Leaving one to wonder just when our elected officials are actually working on our behalf. Call me the cynic but I cannot help but believe our politicians and leaders spend more time working to create the "world of smoke and mirrors" they want us to exist in for their sake than actually representing us and taking care of crucial matters that affect our nation and each and every one of us.

So, today, I'm joining in the American Political Merry-Go- Round and predicting that Americans will once again get exactly what they (in their apathy) vote for. America, with its dismal voter turnout, low information voters, and political sound bite junkies, will pull the levers once again for those politicians with the slickest slogans or those who wrap themselves in the flag holding the Bible in one hand and their six shooter in the other. It is my prediction that few is any will actually be holding the Constitution in on hand and the Bill of Rights in the other and be advocating for what the Founding Fathers actually enshrined in our Declaration of Independence.

Having expressed my predictions I will turn to the "professional pundits view" of were we're headed for in the 2014 elections.

The battle for control of the U.S. Senate is where the action is this year in American politics. Right now all signs point to a near standoff in the U.S. House elections. Barring a major change in the political environment in the next few months, the 114th House is expected to closely resemble the 113th House with a slightly larger or slightly smaller Republican majority. In contrast, party control of the next Senate is definitely up for grabs this year.

The main reason why Democrats are at risk of losing control of the Senate in November is not because of public discontent with the Affordable Care Act, continued weakness in the economy or President Obama’s mediocre approval ratings. All of these issues may have an impact on the Senate elections. But the Democrats’ biggest problem this year is that they were so successful in the 2008 Senate elections. While Barack Obama was capturing the White House in 2008, Democrats gained eight net seats in the Senate, winning 20 of the 35 seats at stake.

Now Democrats must defend all of the seats that they won six years ago, including several in states that usually support Republicans. Of the Democratic seats up for grabs this year, seven are in states that were carried by Mitt Romney in 2012, including six that Romney won by a double-digit margin. In contrast, Republicans are only defending one seat in a state that was carried by Obama in 2012 — Sen. Susan Collins’ seat in Maine. And Collins is so popular that she isn’t a credible Democratic target.

A simple model based on a large body of political science research allows us to make fairly accurate predictions of seat swing in midterm U.S. Senate elections. This model is almost identical to one that I have used to accurately forecast seat swing in midterm House elections. The three predictors are the results of the generic congressional ballot question in national polls in early September; the difference between the number of Republican seats and the number of Democratic seats at stake in the election; and a dummy variable for the president’s party.

The generic ballot question provides a measure of the mood of the electorate two months before the election. Even though it asks specifically about House voting intentions, the generic ballot question predicts Senate voting as well. The seat difference variable is a measure of party exposure in the election: The more seats a party has at risk relative to the opposing party, the more seats it tends to lose. Finally, the dummy variable for the party of the president reflects the tendency of the president’s party to lose seats in midterm elections even after controlling for the other predictors in the model.

Table 1: Results of regression analysis of Senate seat swing in midterm elections

Source: Data compiled by author

Table 1 above presents estimates for the effects of the three predictors on change in Republican Senate seats based on data for all 17 midterm Senate elections since World War II. The estimated coefficients for all three predictors are in the expected direction and highly statistically significant. Moreover, the model explains an impressive 75% of the variance in Senate seat swing. This is substantially less than the 90% of variance in seat swing explained by the House forecasting model. However, that is to be expected given the much smaller number of Senate seats at stake in each election and the larger proportion of competitive contests in Senate elections. There is simply more random variation in Senate seat swing because of the effects of campaigns and candidate quality. The only way to produce a more accurate forecast of the outcome in November is to factor in these seat-specific characteristics based on in-depth information from on-the-ground sources — the sort of information used by the Crystal Ball in making its exceptionally accurate final predictions.

Even at this early stage, however, estimates for two of the predictors in our model make it clear that 2014 is likely to be a difficult year for Democrats in the Senate. First, based on the fact that there are six more Democratic than Republican seats at stake this year, Democrats would be expected to lose 2.4 Senate seats compared with an election in which there were equal numbers of Democratic and Republican seats at stake. Second, the fact that there is a Democrat in the White House means that Democrats can expect to lose about four more seats than they would expect to lose in a midterm election with a Republican in the White House.

When we add together the effect of the seat exposure variable and the effect of the midterm dummy variable, and factor in the intercept of -0.9 in the regression equation, Republicans start off the 2014 campaign with an expected gain of 5.7 seats. That is very close to the six seats that Republicans need to regain control of the Senate.

My advice is twofold; 1) educate yourself on the issues and 2) be very careful of who and what you vote for.

And keep in mind there is ALWAYS the alternative party. Libertarian...give it a look-see. You just might like what you encounter.

Arizona Governor, as Expected, Vetoes Anti Gay SB 1062...

Arizona Governor, as Expected, Vetoes Anti Gay SB 1062...
by: Les Carpenter

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, using her Executive pen, vetoed SB 1062, the anti gay bill that would have given businesses the right to refuse services to LGBT couples on religious grounds. While this site agrees with the Governor's veto decisions many do not.

In an op-ed piece this morning Rich Lowry, writing in POLITICO, puts forth an opinion and his argument that the veto was both unnecessary and foolish. His reasoning is arguably based on sound logic.

Here then is Rick Lowry:

In addition to the federal government, 18 states have such statutes and about a dozen other states interpret their state constitutions as extending the same protections, according to the letter. The statutes, the scholars write, “say that before government can burden a person’s religious exercise, the government has to show a compelling justification.”

The letter argues that, properly interpreted, the federal law that inspired the Arizona statute covers cases that don’t directly involve the government and covers businesses. So Arizona’s changes weren’t radical but in keeping with a federal law once championed by none other than Sen. Ted Kennedy.

A religious freedom statute doesn’t give anyone carte blanche to do whatever he wants in the name of religion. It simply allows him to make his case in court that a law or a lawsuit substantially burdens his religion and that there is no compelling governmental interest to justify the burden.

For critics of the Arizona bill, the substance was almost an afterthought. They recoiled at the very idea that someone might have moral objections to homosexuality or gay marriage.

The cases that have come up relevant to the Arizona debate involve small-business people declining to provide their services to gay couples at their marriage ceremonies. A New Mexico photographer won’t take pictures. A Washington state florist won’t arrange flowers. An Oregon bakery won’t bake a wedding cake.

It’s easy to see how offensive these decisions were to the gay couples involved. An entirely understandable response would be for the couple to say, “I’m sorry you’re so narrow-minded and I hope you evolve one day. In the meantime, I’ll take my business elsewhere.”

The market has a ready solution for these couples: There are other bakers, photographers and florists. The wedding business is not exactly bristling with hostility to gay people. If one baker won’t make a cake for gay weddings, the baker across town can hang a shingle welcoming all couples for all types of weddings.

This is how a pluralistic society would handle such disputes...

Mr Lowry makes several interesting points. Continue reading BELOW THE FOLD.

Hundreds Of Workers For The Sinaloa Cartel Marched To Demand The Release Of El Chapo

At least 20 people were detained after water bottles were tossed at police when they attempted to disperse the crowds in Culiacán.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 27, 2014

Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico -  On Wednesday, El Debate reported that more than 1,000 people in support for the Sinaloa Cartel marched to the Culiacán state municipal government building to demand for druglord Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera, 56, aka, El Chapo to be release from the Altiplano federal prison. At least 20 of Chapo's supporters were taken into custody after a confrontation ended with throwing water bottles at local police that attempted to disperse the crowds around 8:00 p.m..
Sinaloa Governor Mario López Valdez confirmed 20 arrests, and said that he was surprized to see "thousands of people" in support of El Chapo. He said, some of the paricipants admitted they were paid at least $500 pesos ($39 U.S.), also tamales and drinks were given out at the march. Others participated because live bands were playing and wanted to party, according to Valdez.
Men with musical instruments led the marchers who have become worried that they will no longer have jobs with El Chapo. Even young students dressed in their school uniforms joined the march.
They claim that Guzmán Loera has been the only one that had given them jobs in the rural mountains where he was raised. Most of the marchers were wearing white shirts that read, "I love El Chapo" others carried signs that read "Sinaloa wants El Chapo freed," "We don't want another war, free El Chapo," "Chapo make me a child," "Joaquín Guzman gave us jobs, corrupt politicians haven't," "Don't extradite El Chapo, free him," according to El Debate.
A small engine plane and a helicopter tossed out thousands of flyers in support of El Chapo. The state authorities were able to pick some of the fliers up. The flier called for people to come out in support of El Chapo, the "Sinaloa hero" and announced that the march would begin at the entrance of Guamúchil and end at Puente Negro.
In Guamúchil within the municipality of Salvador Alvarado, an estimated 500 of Chapo's supporters marched in demand for his release. More people gathered and marched in Mocorito as well.
Also on Wednesday, Mexican federal authorities charged Guzmán Loera with two counts of possessing weapons exclusively used by the military and for organized crime. Each count was filed in several states. Multiple other counts are pending according to the federal Attorney General's Office (PGRF). The PGRF confirmed that five warrants for the arrest of Guzmán Loera for organized crime had been fulfilled.
Guzmán Loera will soon begin serving a 13-year prison sentence from a prior 20-year conviction jail term. He escaped in 2001 from the Puente Grande federal prison and had been a fugitive for 13-years until he was taken into custody last Saturday at the Miramar Tower Hotel in Mazatlán.

US Government Moves To Control News ... J. D. Longstreet

US Government Moves To Control News ... J. D. Longstreet
US Government Moves To Control News
News The Government Approves!
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet

**************
First, allow me to offer this warning: Do not, for one moment, believe the FCC has backed off it's CIN (Critical Information Needs) initiative. It WILL be back, in another guise, most likely as a study to determine if minority ownership of broadcast stations is at a satisfactory level.  Of course, it is not -- at least not in the eyes of the Democratic Party.

It has been a while in coming but, as an old retired broadcaster, I have been expecting this move by the government for a very long time.  Once "The Dictator," Obama, moved into the White House it was but a matter of time.

Ajit Pai, a commissioner on the Federal Communications Commission, was so upset about this move by the government to filter the news we get daily from the broadcast -- AND -- print media that he wrote an article about if for the Wall Street Journal Online.  Here are HIS words:

"... The government has no place pressuring media organizations into covering certain stories."  --SOURCE:  http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304680904579366903828260732

Commissioner Pai continues:  "Last May the FCC proposed an initiative to thrust the federal government into newsrooms across the country. With its "Multi-Market Study of Critical Information Needs," or CIN, the agency plans to send researchers to grill reporters, editors and station owners about how they decide which stories to run. A field test in Columbia, S.C., is scheduled to begin this spring.

How does the FCC plan to dig up all that information? First, the agency selected eight categories of "critical information" such as the "environment" and "economic opportunities," that it believes local newscasters should cover. It plans to ask station managers, news directors, journalists, television anchors and on-air reporters to tell the government about their "news philosophy" and how the station ensures that the community gets critical information."
-- SOURCE:  http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304680904579366903828260732

Before we go on, allow me to explain for those of you who have never been involved in the broadcast business --  the FCC is basically the same to broadcasters as the IRS is to all taxpayers.  Only worse. The FCC holds the life of a broadcast station in it's hands.  They can revoke the station's license when they choose and that station, that business, is kaput!

So.  Understand this:  When the FCC makes a "suggestion" it is taken as a commandment from on high.  If they say: Jump." The station licensee says: "How high?" Then, without waiting for a reply, jumps as high as he can.
I was in broadcasting in one of the training areas of the FCC for nearly two decades.  I had far more dealings with FCC inspectors than I ever --- ever --- wanted.  Working in pairs they'd hit a station in the early morning and spend most of the day going over that station's logs -- transmitter logs, program logs, and such.  The entire building became a pressure cooker during those hours.

In a training area, as we were, we knew the "new guy" was going to attempt to impress his trainer, so, we expected, and got, everything short of a body cavity search by the trainee.  It was brutal.

So when the FCC says they are going to ask the station personnel to "tell the government about their news philosophy and how the station ensures that the community gets critical information." That's not EXACTLY how it will work.  Allow me to translate that for you into the language every broadcaster knows:  It means the FCC is going to tell the broadcaster that these are eight categories of critical information the licensee WILL begin covering immediately, and, I am sure, make reports to the FCC as to what was aired, when it was aired , the name of the person broadcasting the coverage, etc..  As I said above -- a suggestion from the FCC is understood to be a commandment.

Commissioner Pai goes on:  "Participation in the Critical Information Needs study is voluntary—in theory. Unlike the opinion surveys that Americans see on a daily basis and either answer or not, as they wish, the FCC's queries may be hard for the broadcasters to ignore. They would be out of business without an FCC license, which must be renewed every eight years."  --SOURCE: http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304680904579366903828260732

The democrats have been trying to reestablish the old Fairness Doctrine which shackled broadcasters for decades -- dating back to 1949.  The FCC stopped enforcing the policy in 1987 and finally took it off the books in 2011.  There had been scads of lawsuits filed by broadcasters and broadcasting associations pleading that the Fairness Doctrine did not serve the public interest and did, indeed,  infringe upon freedom of the press.  What it DID do was cause a lot of dial turning as people switched stations to get away from the dry public affairs topics and banal discussions of topics they hadn't the slightest interest in.

You may remember that near the beginning of this piece, I noted that this policy would affect both the broadcast and the PRINT media.  Note please: the PRINT media.  The FCC has no control over the print media, only the broadcast media.  So, if this is just a fact finding incursion into the broadcast newsrooms, then what, pray tell, is a broadcast regulation agency doing in a newspaper newsroom?

No.  There is more here, dear reader, than meets the eye.  It is, I believe, the first step in the government take over of the news organizations in America.  The government bureaucrat dreams of control of the press.  THAT'S where this is all headed.

This is, in my opinion, a violation of the First Amendment.  But it doesn't matter.  The Obama Regime has already completely trashed the constitution.

If the FCC is allowed to carry through with this plan, it will not be long before government monitors will take up residence in newsrooms all across America and every piece of script, every article of news for print, will be approved or disapproved by them!  America's free press will be dead.

I would hope this would be a wake-up call for the liberal media in America.  We have warned for many, many, decades that the progressive Marxists they (the liberal media) run interference for, for which they shuck and jive on a daily basis, once in control of the government would come after them – FIRST!  They didn’t believe us.  I suspect they will not believe it when those government “minders” take up positions in their newsrooms and dictate to them the news they will -- and will not -- broadcast or print.

This is another glaring reason we need to clean out the US Senate in November and put a conservative in the Oval Office in 2016.  As long as a Democrat occupies the Oval Office, the Democratic Party will have control of the FCC.   That's the way it works.  Control changes with the party in the Oval office.

In the meantime, I intend to speak with my Congressman and insist that he do what he can to stop this government takeover of America's newsrooms.

I think Byron York of the Washington Examiner summed it up best.  He said: "If the FCC goes forward, it's not clear what will happen to news organizations that fall short of the new government standards. Perhaps they will be disciplined. Or perhaps the very threat of investigating their methods will nudge them into compliance with the administration's journalistic agenda. What is sure is that it will be a gross violation of constitutional rights." -- SOURCE:  http://washingtonexaminer.com/article/2544363?slideout=1

White City Officials Conspired To Rid The Racine Downtown Of Minority Tavern Owners And Patrons

John Dickert, Kurt S. Wahlen, Joseph G. Legath, Mary Osterman and Devin P. Sutherland

Black, Hispanic and Thai tavern owners and their patrons were targeted and discriminated by White Racine city officials, a federal civil lawsuit claims.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 26, 2014

Racine, WI - On Tuesday, Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) broke the story when it learned that both law firms, Kohler and Hart S.C. from Milwaukee and Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney Ltd. from Chicago had filed a federal civil discrimination lawsuit with the U.S. District Court of Eastern Wisconsin against the City of Racine and city officials including Mayor John Dickert, the city's former and current members of the Common Council and former Racine Police Department Chief Kurt S. Wahlen. The lawsuit claims, that Mayor Dickert conspired with former and current city Common Council members, former Police Chief Wahlen and other influencial (powerful) individuals, including the Racine Tavern League to clear or "rehabilitate,  cleanup" the downtown of Afro-American (Black), Hispanic and Thai tavern owners and their patrons to allow the proliferation of White tavern establishments and their patrons by promoting White owned taverns and businesses in the downtown area.
Some of the plaintiffs were forced to close due to "a pattern and practice of discriminatory treatment on the basis of race has deprived the Plaintiffs of their right to equal protection of the law and their right to equal privileges and immunities under the law," according to the 50-page lawsuit.
The lawsuit allegedly claims, that Mayor Dickert took illegal contributions from the Racine Tavern League and in return awarded White members with liquor licenses taken away from minority tavern owners that had been revoked in the downtown area. Dickert also hired some members of the tavern league to work for the City of Racine, according to the lawsuit.
In 2009, Dickert ran for Racine Mayor on a campaign to revitalize or clean up the downtown area. When elected, Dickert began to conspire with city Common Council members to create city policies to eventually get rid of minority tavern own businesses from the downtown area and replace them with White owned tavern or nightclub establishments. Dickert was instrumental in attracting more White patrons to the area at the cost of closing down minority establishments.
The Plaintiffs include, Cerafin C. Davalos from Cera's Tequila Bar, Jose and Maria Maldonado from the Cruise Inn, former Racine Alderman Otha Keith Fair prior owner of Place on Sixth, Pythaphone Khampane and Omjai Nueakeaw from Ginger's Lounge, Wilbur Jones from Viper's Lounge and Thomas J. Holmes, the former owner of Park 6.
The Defendants include, current Mayor John Dickert, former Mayor Gary E. Becker; Racine Downtown Corporation, including its executive director Davin P. Sutherland and manager of the Racine Downtown Business Improvement District 1; the Racine City Tavern League, Inc.; Kurt S. Wahlen, former Racine Police Chief; the following Racine Aldermen, Jeffrey A. Coe, James Kaplan, Raymond Dehahn, Gregory T. Helding, David L. Maack II, Aron M. Wisneski and Robert E. Mozol; Mark L. Levine, chairman of the Downtown Business Improvement District 1; Joseph G. Legath, member of the Racine City Tavern League and board member of the Downtown Business Improvement District 1; Douglas E. Nicholson, member of the Racine City Tavern League; Monte G. Osterman; Mary Osterman, Treasurer of Mayor John Dickert's election campaign; and Gregory S. Bach, Assistant to Mayor John Dickert.

Joaquín Guzmán Loera "El Chapo" Alive And Isolated From Other Inmates At The Altiplano Prison

Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera, aka, "El Chapo" and Emma Coronel

El Chapo is alive, doing well, has been isolated from other inmates and being held at a secured section at the Altiplano prison, disputing any reports that he had been killed by Zetas on Monday, according to the PGR.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 26, 2014

Mexico City -  José Luis Manjarrez from the Mexican federal Attorney General's Office (PGR) on Tuesday confirmed that Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera, 56, aka, "El Chapo" is alive and reports of his death are false, according to El Dario. The initial death of El Chapo was posted by Tierra del Narco dot com (TDN), which Manjarrez says is not true.
Guzmán Loera is isolated from other inmates and is in a 24-hour watch in a secured cell block near an Altiplano prison administration section.
The TDN posted on its website that the federal Mexican government was investigating the crime scene at the Altiplano federal prison where El Chapo's body was discovered on early Monday.
The Zetas were being blamed for his alleged homicide. El Chapo's death went viral, but has now been confirmed by Manjarrez it was a false report by TDN.
Guzmán Loera was attributed for the demise of Los Zetas, according to intelligence. He provided key names to the DEA and Mexican federal law enforcement agencies to help break a Zeta stronghold in Mexico-U.S. border towns that managed major multi-million drug routes in competition with the Sinaloa Cartel.
Last Saturday, Emma Coronel, 24, and her two 2-year-old daughter's were with Sinaloa Cartel druglord  Guzmán Loera when he was taken into custody on Saturday at the Miramar Hotel room 401 in Mazatlán, according to Mexican federal authorities. Coronel was not taken into custody or her babysitter who was also in the room when Mexican Marines broke into the room to take Guzmán Loera into custody.
Mexico doesn't charge people or family members for aiding and abetting or hiding a felon as in the U.S.. The U.S. government is seeking extradition for Guzmán Loera for federal charges stemming from drug trafficking, murder, conspiracy and money laundering.
A former head of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in El Paso, Texas, Phil Jordan told Univision that he had seen intelligence that confirmed Guzmán Loera had contributed large sums of money to President elect Enrique Peña Nieto's campaign and that he was surprised that Nieto's PRI Party would allow his capture. Jordan could produce any evidence, but admitted that documents of intelligence from the DEA showed that El Chapo did in fact contributed to the PRI Party to elect Neito. Did El Chapo attempt to buy his protection from being extradited to the U.S. and will Neito keep him a Mexican prison?
Alfredo Guzmán's Twitter account posting says, that all the Mexican government officials that El Chapo bought will pay for turning against his father. Alfredo's Twitter has not been confirmed, if in fact it is administered by El Chapo's actual son.
Nieto has not publicly denied the allegation made by Jordan. The PRI Party has not determined, if Guzmán Loera actually donated funds to Neito's campaign or whether the funds would be returned to El Chapo.

Federal Discrimination Lawsuit Filed Claiming The Racine Mayor, City Council And Police Targeted Black, Hispanic And Thai Tavern Owners For Closure

John Dickert, Kurt S. Wahlen, Joseph G. Legath, Mary Osterman and Devin P. Sutherland

Former Black, Hispanic and Thai tavern owners filed a federal lawsuit against the Racine Mayor John Dickert, the city's former and current members of the Common Council and former Police Department Chief Kurt Wahlen, claiming that they were discriminated and targeted for business closures.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 25, 2014

Racine, WI - On Tuesday, Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) has learned that a Chicago and a Milwaukee law firm have both filed a 50-page federal discrimination lawsuit at the U.S. District Court of Eastern Wisconsin shortly after 4:00 p.m. in behave of former Afro-American (Black), Hispanic and Thai tavern owners from Racine against the Racine Mayor John Dickert, the city's former and current members of the Common Council and former Racine Police Department Chief Kurt Wahlen. The plaintiffs claimed that the Racine officials named in the lawsuit intentionally discriminated against the plaintiffs and targeted minority tavern owners to basically minimize tavern ownership by Blacks, Hispanics and Thai in the City of Racine.
Mayor Dickert allegedly took illegal contributions from the Racine Tavern League and in return awarded White members with liquor licenses taken away from minority tavern owners that had been revoked. Dickert also hired some members of the tavern league to work for the City of Racine, the lawsuit claims.
The Plaintiffs include, Cerafin C. Davalos from Cera's Tequila Bar, Jose and Maria Maldonado from the Cruise Inn, former Racine Alderman Otha Keith Fair prior owner of Place on Sixth, Pythaphone Khampane and Omjai Nueakeaw from Ginger's Lounge, Wilbur Jones from Viper's Lounge and Thomas J. Holmes, the former owner of Park 6.
The Defendants include, current Mayor John Dickert, former Mayor Gary E. Becker; Racine Downtown Corporation, including its executive director Davin P. Sutherland and manager of the Racine Downtown Business Improvement District 1; the Racine City Tavern League, Inc.; Kurt S. Wahlen, former Racine Police Chief; the following Racine Aldermen, Jeffrey A. Coe, James Kaplan, Raymond Dehahn, Gregory T. Helding, David L. Maack II, Aron M. Wisneski and Robert E. Mozol; Mark L. Osterman; Mary Osterman, Treasurer of Mayor John Dickert's election campaign; and Gregory S. Bach, Assistant to Mayor John Dickert.
The Racine city officials are expected to be served with the federal lawsuit by Wednesday. The Milwaukee law firm involved in the filing is Kohler and Hart S.C. and Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney Ltd. from Chicago.
The minority tavern owners lawsuit is expect to be one of the major lawsuits to hit Racine city officials and is expected to ask for an unspecified amount in damages, according to the lawsuit filing.

Here I am with one last look from my journey to NYFW and let me tell you that it was a very special look for me. I had the pleasure to connect with a creative designer/ artist and his team: Lie Sang Bong, and to be dressed with some creative pieces from a previous collection for his show. More photos from his showroom, behind the scenes and also from the show will follow in the next post.
As you can see I chose to wear a neoprene printed coat in white/ royal blue color, neoprene pants and a beautiful top with flower prints. To complete the look in the same bold matter I added  a pair of red pumps, minimalist baby blue bag and red lips.
I find this outfit very me, artistic, but in the same time minimalist and very easy to wear.
Definitely Lie Sang Bong is a designer to watch and can't wait to see his journey here in USA.

Two New York Men Facing Charges For Sexually Molesting And Abusing Herkimer Farm Cows

Reid A. Fontaine and Michael H. Jones

Herkimer, N.Y. - On Friday, New York State Police reported that both Reid A. Fontaine, 31, and Michael H. Jones, 35, were taken into custody and are facing one misdemeanor count each for sexual misconduct in connection with sexually abusing several cows from a Herkimer farm. The owner of the Herkimer farm had noticed that the cows seemed anxious and stopped producing milk, so he installed a video surveillance camera at the barn where the cows were located.
When the farmer review the footage, both Fontaine and Jones were seen molesting the cows. The farmer called State Police when noticed the cows were sexually abused by both suspects who were then taken into custody.
State Police say, Jones agreed to video tape Fontaine as he attempted to have sex with several cows. It's is not clear, if both suspects were video taping their sexual acts with cows as a fetish or for beastiality porno.
Fontaine resigned from his job at the Farmington School District after it was learned of his arrest. Fontaine worked as an IT network specialist for six months and voluntarily resigned on Friday night, but Fontaine had no contact with students, according to Kathleen Greider, the Farmington School District Superintendent. Greider also says, the Farmington Police Department was notified of Fontaine's arrest.
Both Fontaine and Jones were released on a signature bond and promised to appear in court at a later date.

The Great BITCOIN CRASH

BITCOIN BAGHOLDERS!

Customers Lose $100's of MILLIONS

The money just disappeared

Is that why BITCOIN is called VIRTUAL CURRENCY?

:-)

Mt. Gox on the run

Could it be BrotherJohnF and DavinciJ15 are criminals?

Who else in the "truther community" is involved in this scam?

We will find out...

http://news-these-days.blogspot.com/2014/02/bad-news-for-bitcoin-exchanges.html

These TRUTHERS that have left their GOLD and SILVER pump to pump BITCOINS have told us in the past that "if you don't hold it, you don't own it."  Well how about that?  That seems to be the situation with BITCOIN here below.  So then, look out below. :-)

The first person I remember to pump these BITCOINS was this guy called "DavinciJ15" on YOU TUBE.  After that a number of these TRUTHERS started promoting bitcoin including SGTbull07 and others and especially this BrotherJohnF YOU TUBE channel.  BrotherJohnF gave up on his silver pumping to push his paid subscription to watch all of his YOU TUBE BITCOIN UPDATES and some other related website that is a fee for service subscription.

Perhaps REAL MONEY instead of VIRTUAL MONEY is still a better alternative after all?  I think so:

WINDOWS XP Support Ends April 8, 2014

WINDOWS XP Support Ends April 8, 2014

CINCINNATI, Feb. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Windows XP support will end April 8 and many organizations have not yet decided how to address the problem. IGEL Technology recommends a painless and highly cost-effective solution: the IGEL UDC2 software thin client.

TO READ MORE CLICK BELOW:

The IGEL Universal Desktop Converter 2 (UDC2) software turns PCs, laptops, and the thin clients of other manufacturers into IGEL Linux thin clients allowing all of these devices to come under user-friendly, central management. Rather than investing IT budget in new hardware, companies can set up a virtual infrastructure and use the UDC2 to standardize their existing hardware. The UDC2 will install IGEL's Linux 5 operating system on almost any PC hardware, including desktop and mobile PC's. Additionally, the UDC2 can be installed as a Live USB stick to run IGEL Linux 5 on a temporary basis and still provide access to a Windows operating system.

Significant cost reduction

The low cost of the UDC2 represents significant savings for organizations seeking a solution to replace Windows XP. The software comes with IGEL's Universal Management Suite (UMS), the industry's leading device management platform, which enables user-friendly, centralized deployment and administration of an organization's thin client inventory. With total device management in one location, the administrative cost of maintaining end points falls markedly. Extending the life of existing hardware also frees IT budget to be invested in other projects.

"IGEL's software thin client has become increasingly popular," notes Jeff Kalberg, General Manager of IGEL Technology America. "Many organizations still have a large number of PC's running Windows XP, and they are looking for a way to move away from the unsupported Windows XP platform while minimizing the drain on their budgets a forklift upgrade would mean. Our software thin client really is the ideal solution. Not only does the UDC2 equate to lower capital expenditure, which in many cases could be classified as an operating expense, but the time and effort saved by standardizing the operating system on a wide variety of existing PC hardware, as well as bringing everything under a truly enterprise-class, centralized, remote management system, is tremendous. No more support calls dealing with individual PC's. All administration happens remotely. For IT support staff, the prospect is huge!"

Are you a VICTIM of WORKPLACE BULLYING?

Are you a VICTIM of WORKPLACE BULLYING?

Targets of WORKPLACE BULLYING lost their jobs 61% of the time

Serious health-harming abuse

BELLINGHAM, Wash., Feb. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Workplace Bullying Institute (WBI) defined workplace bullying as "abusive conduct that is threatening, intimidating, humiliating, work sabotage or verbal abuse" in its 2014 national survey. Key results: 27% of all adult Americans have directly experienced it, 21% have witnessed it, 56% of perpetrators are bosses, 68% of perpetrators are men, and 60% of targets (recipients) are women.

Since WBI introduced workplace bullying to the country in 1997 public awareness has risen to 72% according to the new survey. Similarly positive is that the percentage of bullies who are bosses has declined over the years.
Employers do little to stop workplace bullying. The majority (72%) reacted to complaints in inappropriate ways: 25% did not investigate, 31% either discounted it as not serious or considered it routine, 11% defended bullies, and 5% actively encouraged the abuse.

In cases where bullying ended, targets lost their jobs 61% of the time — either terminated, forced to quit (constructively discharged), or voluntarily quit.

"Unfortunately the victims of this serious health-harming abuse are the ones asked to stop it," says WBI director Dr. Gary Namie, "If there were a law as in Canada and other industrialized nations, employers would have to protect workers."
According to the survey an overwhelming majority of Americans (93%) supported enactment of a new law that would protect all workers from repeated abusive mistreatment at work. Only 1% strongly opposed such a measure.

Complete results can be downloaded at: http://www.workplacebullying.org/wbiresearch/wbi-2014-us-survey/

WBI commissioned Zogby Analytics to conduct the survey of a national representative sample of all adult Americans (MOE ± 3.2%). Major funding from OnLock Digital Authentication LLC.

WBI is the first and only U.S. organization dedicated to the eradication of workplace bullying that combines help for individuals, research, books, public education, training for professionals-unions-employers, legislative advocacy, and consulting solutions for organizations. workplacebullying.org

Reality deniers are a stubborn lot; hold their beliefs no matter what

Reality deniers are a stubborn lot; hold their beliefs no matter what
Commentary by James Shott

The number of notable people who behave as if they are endowed with special insight about the environment is an interesting element in the ongoing saga.

The most recent example of this is Secretary of State John Kerry, who fell off the diplomatic wagon and insulted millions of Americans he represents to the world who don’t agree with his narrow view of environmental issues by calling them members of the Flat Earth Society.

Arrogance of this magnitude from a public employee is not unheard of, but arrogance wasn’t Mr. Kerry’s only sin. He expressed the asinine belief that climate change is “the world's largest weapon of mass destruction, perhaps even, the world's most fearsome weapon of mass destruction.”

Tell that to the victims and their families of true terrorism, like the 9-11 attacks and in the Boston Marathon bombing.

President Barack Obama also asserts with absolute certainty that global warming/climate change is “settled science.”

Misters Obama and Kerry are no better than the rest of us non-scientists: they have chosen to believe one side of the argument about global warming, now renamed “climate change,” since the catastrophic warming trend we were warned about ad infinitum unexpectedly disappeared.

Some might expect that President Obama is better informed than everyone else. However, given the number of rather important events that he said he learned about from the media – the IRS abuse of non-profit applicants, the capture of the Boston Marathon bomber – he probably gets his environmental news there, like the rest of us.

But Mr. Kerry’s madness and Mr. Obama’s misplaced certainty aside, real scientists understand and will tell you that science is never settled. There may be general acceptance of a particular theory, but the possibility that someone will come across something that disproves an existing theory always exists.

On that subject Charles Krauthammer – who as a medical doctor has much deeper understanding of the scientific method than either Mr. Obama or Mr. Kerry – offers this example: “Newton’s laws were considered settled for 200 years until a patent clerk [Albert Einstein] in Switzerland turned them over with a single paper in 1903 — and that was pretty settled science. The idea that this is all settled is absurd.”

Saying that science is settled is simply a way to try to suffocate dissent, says columnist George Will. “When a politician, on a subject implicating science – hard science, economic science, social science – says the debate is over, you may be sure of two things: the debate is raging, and he is losing it.”

When scientists say science is settled, they are guilty of the same sin as journalists often are: allowing their political ideology to overpower their integrity and displace professional principles. And scientists often have the added motivation of filthy lucre: federal money to fund their research, totaling $68 billion from 2008 to 2012.

There are lots of scientists, climate scientists and others, who disagree with the manmade climate change theory, but that’s something Mr. Obama won’t learn from the media, because most of the agenda media don’t report much on topics that don’t fit their leftist ideals, like man-caused climate change.

Reality deniers ignore inconvenient evidence and cling to their views. Evidence like the email scandal from November 2009, where emails between International Panel on Climate Change participants suggesting conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, possibly illegal destruction of information, organized resistance to disclosure, data manipulation, and private admissions of flaws in their public claims, were exposed. A second round of email revelations occurred in 2011.

And the “hockey stick” graph created in 1998 purporting to show a dramatic increase in global temperatures in the 20th century, and was a major piece of evidence supporting manmade global warming. It was created by Penn State University’s Dr. Michael Mann.

The theory has come under suspicion for data manipulation. It is a complex story, but here’s a brief version: The graph relied heavily upon data taken from 252 trees on the Yamal Peninsula in Siberia. It used data from 12 trees that showed a warming trend, while a subset of 34 different trees showed no significant warming. Further, temperatures in the Middle Ages were missing from the Mann data. So, even if there was warming, temperatures from hundreds of years before the industrial revolution were warmer than those in the 20th century.

As a result, several individuals and publications challenged the veracity of the research, and Dr. Mann sued a number of his detractors for libel. However, it appears that the suits will not go forward because Dr. Mann refuses to release the details of his research, which is necessary for him to show the defendants actually defamed him.

These things cry out for attention, but are instead explained away.

Many people don’t know much about science, a point proven by a National Science Foundation study, which shows that one in four Americans believes the sun orbits the Earth, rather than the other way around.

So, many Americans trust scientists and elected officials to tell them the truth about important matters, and when they manipulate data, or sell a particular concept as “settled science,” many believe them anyway.
