Fullerton teacher Melissa Lindgren at Nicolas Junior High School suspected of sexual misconduct with 2 male students

She admitted to the crime.  Watch her get a slap on the wrist also known as probation instead of getting hard time.  That’s the problem, sentences are too light in certain parts of the country.

LA Timesreports a Fullerton middle school teacher was arrested Friday on suspicion of sexual misconduct with at least two male students, authorities and school district officials said.

Melissa Lindgren, 28, of La Mirada, was charged with multiple felonies, including child molestation, child annoyance and “dissemination of harmful matter to a minor,” Fullerton police said in a statement. The Nicolas Junior High School teacher was booked and released after posting $100,000 bail, the statement said.

School officials were alerted to the possible misconduct Friday by two “brave” students, according to a district statement.  Fullerton Police Chief Dan Hughes said Lindgren was arrested within five hours of the school district discovering the allegations.

In its statement, Fullerton School District officials said Lindgren admitted her misconduct, and called the situation an “isolated incident.”

“This occurrence is in direct conflict of Fullerton School District zero-tolerance policy on staff misconduct, where the District's teachers, faculty and staff are held to a higher standard,” the statement said.

Brooklyn Nets sign homosexual Jason Collins making so-called history as the first openly Gay player in teams sports.

It would have to be my team, the Brooklyn Nets, to sign this scrub player.  Poor Michael Sam must be disappointed he won’t be the first anything.

NY DailyNews reports it's the 10-day contract that broke down a barrier.

The Nets officially signed Jason Collins to the historic deal on Sunday afternoon, fitted him in a No. 98 Brooklyn uniform for Sunday night's game against the Lakers, and thus gave him the opportunity to become the first openly gay athlete in America's four main professional sports leagues.

"The decision to sign Jason was a basketball decision," GM Billy King said in a statement, clearly trying to address criticisms that the signing was a marketing ploy. "We needed to increase our depth inside, and with his experience and size, we felt he was the right choice for a 10-day contract."

On day 6 at NYFW I was definitely wearing the brightest and boldest look of the entire week. When I put together this outfit, I can assure you I didn't have in mind "valentine's day"chromatic inspiration. I wanted to wear this combination for a while now and I also wanted to stay warm as this season had the most incredible cold winter in years... So you can notice that I'm wearing lots of layers.
Definitely the biggest challenge at this Fashion Week was the battle between staying warm and the look that I wanted to wear.

Scapegoat teacher?: 2 Kids boy and girl both 5 found 'naked and having sex' in N.J. school bathroom — and it may cost teacher Kelly Mascio her job for reporting it

If the details of this story are as reported then I don’t see why this teacher is facing any disciplinary actions or possibly getting fired.

NY Daily News reports a New Jersey teacher may lose her job after two of her kindergarten students were found "having sex" while naked in the classroom's bathroom.

The rural South Jersey school district of Mullica Township seeks to remove kindergarten teacher Kelly Mascio after two 5-year-old students — a boy and girl — were found naked in the bathroom at her classroom on Sept. 30, reports the Press of Atlantic City. The students told the teacher they were "having sex," the newspaper reports.

Mascio, a teacher in the district for 15 years, reported the incident to her supervisor and police were called regarding the incident. The teacher was immediately suspended with pay, the newspaper reported.

No criminal charges were filed.

The Mullica Township Board of Education voted Wednesday to bring charges against the educator through the state to seek to remove her from her position, the newspaper reported.

But the teacher has a lot of support in the community as 200 people came to support her at the meeting.

5 year old don’t know anything about having sex unless they're exposed to it.  Seems to me the parents or guardians of these two children need to be heavily investigated by child services because I suspect their victims of sex abuse at home and that’s why they were acting out at school.

Chris Wallace on Susan Rice Skipping Fox News Sunday: “Perhaps she didn’t want to answer the tough questions we would’ve asked.” i.e. Benghazi

No way was Susan Rice going on the only news outlet that practices real journalism.
The Blaze reports “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace suggested Sunday that National Security Advisor Susan Rice failed to appear on his program because she didn’t want to face his tough questioning.

“I wanted to ask the Obama Administration about the crisis in Ukraine, but they decided to put National Security Advisor Susan Rice on only one show today in her first Sunday appearance since 2012 when she blamed the Benghazi terror attack on reaction to an anti-Islam video,” Wallace said. “Of course FOX has led the way in questioning how the administration handled Benghazi.”

An Employment Trend that Has Not Failed v.2

This is an update to a post I did several years ago.

September 23, 2011
An Employment Trend that Has Not Failed

I promised an exponential trend that has not failed. Here it comes!

We can get this ratio to infinity simply by continuing to shed manufacturing jobs faster than we shed financial activities jobs. It might not be as easy as it looks though.

In hindsight, it has not been easy.

The following chart shows the natural log of financial activities employment divided by manufacturing employment. When using logs, constant exponential growth is seen as a straight line.

This trend is in serious danger of failing. We're at the very bottom of the channel again. We last saw this heading into the dotcom bust. Before that we were heading into several recessions in the late 1970s. We also saw it as we were putting a man on the moon in 1969. Have we colonized the moon yet thanks to our ever growing prosperity? Or are we planning to put that off a few more years?

Do not lose hope. When Mr. FIRE Economy was asked about his recent under-performance relative to manufacturing (relative to the long-term trend) he exclaimed, "Give me recession or give me death!" To which Mr. Manufacturing Economy laughed with great hubris, "Don't be silly! Our new and improved Fed has permanently put an end to all recessions! It's common knowledge. Everyone knows it. It really is different this time!"

In all seriousness, note that the ratio tends to rise most during recessions as manufacturing employment plummets more than financial activities employment. Being at the very bottom of the channel therefore puts us in "great" position for another legendary rise in the ratio. If the trend holds over the long-term (think fully automated manufacturing employment), then it is only a matter of time.

This is not investment advice.

Sinaloa Cartel Intelligence Indicate Plans Are In Motion To Free Joaquin Guzmán Loera "El Chapo"

Joaquín Guzmán Loera, aka, "El Chapo"

Intelligence indicate that El Chapo could be a free man at any time, as the Sinaloa Cartel plans a second daring escape from a Mexican federal maximum prison.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 23, 2014

Mexico City - Mexican federal authorities have posted a 24 hour suicide watch on Joaquin Guzmán Loera, 59, of Sinaloa at the Altiplano Mexican federal prison in Almoloya de Juárez in the state of Mexico. Guzmán Loera had indicated that he wanted one of his men to fatally shoot him, if he was about to be captured. But that fail on Saturday morning, when Mexican Marines hot on his trail raided his Miramar hotel room In Mazatlán at 6:40 a.m. without firing a shot and took him into custody.
Guzmán Loera had been wanted by both the U.S. and Mexican authorities after he paid the warden and Puente Grande prison guards millions to escape in 2001. The Sinaloa druglord had been an international fugitive for 13 years. A $5M dollar reward was offered by the U.S. for his capture and $3M dollars from the Mexican government.
Guzmán Loera to elude capture or detection for years had submitted to several plastic surgeries to change his facial appearance. On Saturday,  his identity was confirmed by Jesús Murillo Karam, the Mexican federal Attorney General.
Guzmán Loera is considered a billionaire druglord and has bought government protection in Mexico. He hasn't reveal any corrupt federal and local officials on his payroll yet, but the longer he stays in prison, a list of corrupt officials is sure to surface. In 2009, Guzmán Loera revealed a list of corrupt officials, it was later published by a Mexican newspaper.
Criminal organized gambling bets have begun to determine when he will be actually free again. As long as Guzmán Loera remains in a Mexican prison, he can control the worldwide operations of the Sinaloa Cartel.
The U.S. government is expected to seek Guzmán Loera's extradition and the Mexican government will most likely turn over Guzmán Loera at any given time. The Mexican government cannot afford another daring escape from El Chapo. The longer they keep him locked up in a Mexican prison, the greater oportunity of him escaping. No federal Mexican prison can hold a billionaire druglord with a track record and an influence to buy prison officials and guards.
Corrupt Mexican federal and local officials can't afford for Guzmán Loera to be extradited to the U.S., because their livelihoods are at stake.
