Obama Vs Romney = Obama Wins According To This Pollster

So far, putting Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney's ticket hasn't led to any detailed plans for his top issue, the budget. That won't change, according to a Romney aide who spoke to Politico.
"The nature of running a presidential campaign is that you're communicating direction to the American people," a Romney adviser, who is not named, told Politico. "Campaigns that are about specifics, particularly in today's environment, get tripped up."
The issue of the budget, particularly taxes and cuts to entitlement programs, is a pivotal one for the election and is one both campaigns are trying to exploit. For the Romney campaign, that has meant accusing President Barack Obama of decimating Medicare by taking funds from it for his health care law, even though that is a falseclaim. Ryan's own budget would transform the program to make it almost unrecognizable.
Another Romney official, also unnamed, told Politico the campaign isn't scared to talk about Medicare. "We'll do it for as long as they want," the official said. "Let's do it."
That doesn't mean talking in specifics, however. Romney was vague about his budget plans during the Republican primary -- he said he would cut funding to Planned Parenthood but not much else -- and will continue to be, according to the adviser.
"What you're going to see is a campaign that has clear direction, but not a Simpson-Bowles or Ryan-budget level of detail," the adviser told Politico. "It's not only politically unwise to do that, but it's not how the voters engage in a presidential campaign."
Ryan said earlier this week that he plans to discuss tax plans, but not until after the election.
"That is something that we think we should do in the light of day, through Congress," he said Tuesday on Fox News. He then promised to "have a process for tax reform so that we do this in the front of the public. So no, the point I'm trying to say is, we want feedback from Americans about what priorities in the tax code should be kept, and what special interest loopholes we want to get rid of."

keeping a list and checking it...ever

I can't leave the house anymore without a list - unless I want to run back out as soon as I get home. I forget more and more with each passing month. Which seems really odd since I get younger everyday. Hmmm.

My current system of writing things down on whatever piece of paper I have isn't working for me. And although I do keep a lot of things on my phone/computer calendar, I like having paper so I can cross things off.

Maybe if I had something cute to carry around it would keep me on track?

Reunited Gorilla Brothers Shower Each Other With Love

Reunited Gorilla Brothers Shower Each Other With Love

Family blood runs deep, even when you’re a gorilla,  as the joyful reunion of two gorilla brothers at a safari park in London proves true.
The brothers – Kesho, 13, and younger brother, Alf, 9 – had not seen each other for two years after being separated in 2010 so that Kesho, a silverback gorilla, could be part of a breeding program at the London Zoo, the BBC reports.
When Kesho proved to be infertile, the brothers were given a second chance to live together.
Both gorillas were sent to the Longleat Safari Park in Wiltshire, England, to live in the park’s new nearly $5 million gorilla enclosure built to house the over-population of males in the breeding program.
Their reunion, all captured on camera, was one for the family record books.  Kesho and Alf put on a display of hugs, shoulder slaps, squeezes and general all-out affection once they saw each other.
“They were touching each other through the cage that temporarily separated them,” Longleat zookeeper Mark Tye said, according to the UK’s Daily Mail.  “We put them together 24 hours later and it was like they had never been apart.”
“They were very animated and there was a lot of rough and tumble on the floor, but not in an aggressive way,” he said.  “It is quite unusual to see that sort of childlike behavior in a silverback.”

"He's not a follower of Ayn Rand; clearly he's been influenced by her..."

More from Yahoo Finance:

"I don't think Ryan even in his political philosophy is as radical as I am or as radical as Ayn Rand would be," says Brook in an interview with The Daily Ticker. "Maybe he is in terms of his long-term vision and is just a practical politician."

Even though Brook says Ryan's plan is "nowhere near" what the economy needs to save it from a "debt disaster" he is quick to defend it against attacks."It brings expenses back to 2008 levels," he says. He's also "shocked" that Ryan's plan has been criticized so severely.

According to Rand, government "doesn't regulate business [and] doesn't redistribute wealth" but what it does do have is "a strong police force, a strong judiciary to arbitrate disputes and a military to protect us from outside invasions," says Brook. "Other than that (government should) leave us to pursue our happiness….leave us alone."

Artur Davis Calls Biden Remarks 'Racial Visiousness'...

Artur Davis Calls Biden Remarks 'Racial Visiousness'...

Artur Davis, articulate, intelligent, honest, and spot on in his criticism of both Vice President Joe (Dufus) Biden and President Obama.

(CNN) - Artur Davis, the former four-term Democratic congressman from Alabama, said Wednesday that Vice President Joe Biden was propagating "racial viciousness" when he said Mitt Romney's regulatory policies would "put y'all back in chains."

Biden made the comments Tuesday to a predominantly black crowd in Danville, Virginia, a city with a long history of racial tension. In May Davis announced he was switching to the GOP, leaving the door open to a future political bid as a Republican.

Davis, who is black, said the comment smacked of a type of divisiveness he said was all too common in the South.

"It brought back memories for me," Davis told Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "The Situation Room." "It brought back memories of these Democratic politicians in the South, who think they can go before crowds and say one thing and nobody else will hear it, and they'll somehow get a cheer in the room and that they can blithely go on about their business."

Saying Biden went to a place he "never should have gone" in his remarks, Davis called the vice president's words insulting.

"It's a divisive tactic that's insulting to African Americans," Davis said. "It's insulting to the American people. It's insulting to the legacy that he used to build up as an orator who used to know how to inspire people instead of strike fear in people's heart."

Davis, who campaigned for Mitt Romney Wednesday in Virginia, may be best known for seconding Obama's nomination at the Democratic National Convention in 2008, when he served as an Obama campaign co-chairman.

Davis said he had hoped Obama's presidency would make a huge dent in race relations, as well as move the Democratic Party further to the center. Biden's comments, Davis said, should embarrass the president.

"It ought to embarrass President Obama," he said. "President Obama has talked so movingly about our country moving beyond race, and his own vice president makes this kind of comment yesterday? It was wrong and the president ought to be embarrassed by it, and the president ought to say it was wrong." {Read More}

Of course we already know the President isn't going to do that. He has is handlers working overtime to spin the Biden remarks. Continue reading.

In the following CNN video note Wolf Blitzer laboring to carry water for the democratic agenda and the Obama administration. The democratic machine (aka progressive collectivists) and liberal media must really, really, really be twisting in their collective underwear.

Former Obama Campaign Co-Chair Now Supporting Gov. Romney...

Former Four Term Congressman Artur Davis and  2008 Obama Co-Campaign Chairman

You just know things aren't going so well when a four term congressman and long time supporter, as well as being your former co-campaign chairman decides to switch sides. Perhaps Artur Davis, knowing the inside scoop on the Obama plan is sending America a very strong signal. Could it be...BEWARE... of reelecting the Imposter in Chief to the presidency of this great nation?

CNN - A former four-term Democratic congressman from Alabama and one time strong supporter of President Barack Obama will campaign for Mitt Romney Wednesday.

A Romney campaign aide confirms to CNN that Artur Davis will stump for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee in the battleground state of Virginia.

Davis, who is black, may be best known for seconding Obama's nomination at the Democratic National Convention in 2008, when he served as an Obama campaign co-chairman. Davis said he had hoped Obama's presidency would make a huge dent in race relations, as well as move the Democratic Party further to the center.

In 2010, Davis made an unsuccessful bid for governor of Alabama. In May he announced he was switching to the GOP, leaving the door open to a future political bid as a Republican.

Davis said in June that he thinks his one time political party was becoming more unwelcoming towards Southern conservative Democrats.

"I think the Obama administration has candidly gone too far to the left. You can raise all kinds of questions on whether that's good politics or not," Davis said on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer." "Obviously the election will determine that."

The Romney campaign says Davis will team up with Virginia GOP Victory Chairman Pete Snyder and a local business owner at an event in Arlington.

When a lefty speaks out and says Obama has went too far left isn't it time to take notice? One can only imagine how the the progressive collectivist left must be twisting themselves into knots right about now.

The Democratic Progressive Collectivists Have Set the Tone... the Opposition is Finally Responding

The Democratic Progressive Collectivists Have Set the Tone... the Opposition is Finally Responding
by: Les Carpenter
Rational Nation USA
Liberty -vs- Tyranny

I can't quite recall when the democratic party (aka the progressive collectivist anti business party) has had their panties and pants in such a twisted knot over a republican party veep pick. Watching the lefties at work in the blogoshere since Paul Ryan was announced as Romney's pick two things are clear; 1) they are trying very hard to make the campaign about the veep, and 2) the lefties are really worried because they know Ryan is articulate, intelligent, and will blow not only Joe (Dufus) Biden clean out of the water in the VP debate, but will turn up the heat and keep Obama off balance as well.

Of course the reason the democrats are employing this technique is because their man has a dismal record to run on. By making Ryan the focus (along with his Randian leaning) they figure the misrepresentations and scare tactics they will employ against Ryan will insure Obama's dismal record will be off the radar, at least until the presidential debates. Anyone who spends a fair amount of time in liberal collectivist blogistan fully understands what I am saying.

Greg Sargent of the Washington Post is already talking about "the next frontier" in the liberal strategy to destroy the republican veep selection. Again to keep attention off the dismal failure that has been the Obama administration.

While I am not a Romney backer, having decided a long time ago to back Gary Johnson and the Libertarian ticket, since the press has given no attention to him, and will continue to do so, I think it appropriate to do everything possible in support of the visible campaign the Romney/Ryan ticket will wage pointing out the failures and hypocrisy of the Obama campaign.

Romney seems to be getting that he must go negative against the negative Obama and hit him hard, very hard. Having a big boy and big girl discussion about the Obama record in a way that engages Americans on a personal level is what needs to happen.

From THE HILL
Mitt Romney used a tough new campaign speech to personally blast the Obama campaign on Tuesday, saying comments earlier in the day from Vice President Biden are "what an angry and desperate presidency looks like."

"Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago," Romney said while campaigning in Ohio.

Romney was responding to Biden's suggestion that the GOP ticket's economic policies would “put y’all back in chains."

Skip

"His campaign and his surrogates have made wild and reckless accusations that disgrace the office of the presidency. Another outrageous charge came a few hours ago in Virginia. And the White House sinks a little bit lower," Romney said.

"This is an election in which we should be talking about the path ahead, but you don't hear any answers coming from President Obama’s reelection campaign. That’s because he's intellectually exhausted, out of ideas and out of energy. And so his campaign has resorted to diversions and distractions, to demagoguing and defaming others. This is an old game in politics; what’s different this year is that the president is taking things to a new low."

Skip

The counter-punches mark a much tougher tone from Team Romney, who have criticized the Obama campaign before — particularly over a controversial ad by pro-Obama super-PAC Priorities USA Action that links Romney to a woman's death..."

Romney campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul had the following to say;

“In case anyone was wondering just how low President Obama could go in his campaign for reelection, we now know he’s willing to say that Gov. Romney wants to put people back in chains," Saul said. "Whether it's accusing Mitt Romney of being a felon, having been responsible for a woman’s tragic death or now wanting to put people in chains, there’s no question that because of the president’s failed record he’s been reduced to a desperate campaign based on division and demonization.”

All that need be added is that when facing the type of campaign Obama is running his opposition, and I mean all the opposition, has no choice but to return fire. They had better bring out the heavy artillery as they are going to face a unmerciful and deceitful onslaught by the Team Obama.

It is going to be a very dirty campaign, and all the Presidents horses and all the Presidents men are responsible.

Ryan Not Ready For Prime Time

Ryan Not Ready For Prime Time
UPDATE: 7:25 p.m. -- Danny Kanner, a spokesman for President Barack Obama's re-election campaign, said in a statement that the TV interview shows Ryan "not ready for primetime." The statement continues:
First, he attacked the President for the very same Medicare savings that he includes in his own budget. In the same breath, he falsely claimed that the Romney-Ryan budget protects Medicare -– in fact, their plan would end Medicare as we know it, leaving seniors with nothing but a voucher in place of the guaranteed benefits they rely on today.
Then, Ryan refused to name a single tax loophole they’d close to pay for their $5 trillion tax plan. We know what that means: as independent experts have confirmed, Romney and Ryan’s tax plan would either explode the deficit or raise taxes on middle class families to pay for their tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires. As Romney and Ryan run away from the plans they have laid out -- and in Ryan’s case, passed through the Republican House twice -- they’re revealing that they’d take the American people back to the same failed policies that crashed our economy in the first place, and have zero interest in the bold, honest, substantive debate that they claim is at the center of their campaign.
