Obama: "I Can Do What I Want."

OK.  Some say the President was joking.  Maybe so.  But I tend to think of it more as a "Freudian slip,"  which gave us a peek into the state of mind of one Mr. B. H. Obama.

Parse it anyway you will, but the  fact remains -- Obama is making a mockery of the US Constitution.  He has set himself up as a ruling monarch with no regard for the constitution or the Congress, which represents the people.

Just a few days ago Obama changed the Obamacare law yet again.  Legally he can't do that.  But he did .  Why didn't the Congress stop him?  They can't --and they won't.

Dear reader -- we have a constitutional crisis on our hands and it is getting worst every day.

Charles Krauthammer said recently that this is the kind of  “stuff you do in a banana republic."

Krauthammer went on to say:  " ... But generally speaking you get past the next election by changing your policies, by announcing new initiatives, but not by wantonly changing the law lawlessly. This is stuff you do in a banana republic. It’s as if the law is simply a blackboard on which Obama writes any number he wants, any delay he wants, and any provision.

It’s now reached a point where it is so endemic that nobody even notices or complains. I think if the complaints had started with the first arbitrary changes — and these are are not adjustments or transitions. These are political decisions to minimize the impact leading up to an election. I said above the Congress cannot and will not do anything to stop Obama although they know he is acting illegally.  Why? 

JB Williams in a piece entitled: "An Omnipotent President and Impotent Congress" said the following:  "The entire world, including congress, knows that Barack Hussein Obama is not a Natural Born Citizen of the United States, and that he is constitutionally prohibited from holding the office of President under Article II, an office he has occupied for five years now.

Everyone in congress knows that Obama seized office on a forged birth certification and fraudulent DNC documents.
Because congress has allowed Article II to be ignored since 2008, congress now finds itself in the completely impotent position of not being able to uphold or defend any Article of the US Constitution or the Bill of Rights.

Because House Republicans fear a public backlash to holding the unconstitutional Obama regime fully accountable for their anti-American fraudulent actions, they sit silent, forced to go along with every executive office infringement of both State and individual Rights, completely subverted by the Oval Office pen as if congress no longer exists at all. Then, there is the fact, I repeat:  the fact,  that nobody wants to impeach America's first black President.

It has been clear for sometime now that if Obama is stopped it will be the people of the United States, and not our limp wristed leaders, who stop him.

Now -- consider this: "Meanwhile, those that are objecting to the lawless behavior of the Obama administration are increasingly being portrayed as national security threats.  This is also the kind of thing that we are accustomed to seeing in banana republics.  According to a recent WND article, the Ohio Army National Guard conducted a training drill last year in which the “enemies” were supporters of the 2nd Amendment and had “right-wing beliefs“…

 Internal documents from an Ohio Army National Guard training drill conducted in January 2013 describe the details of a mock disaster in which Second Amendment supporters with “anti-government” beliefs were portrayed as domestic terrorists.

 The Guard’s 52nd Civil Support Unit and first responders in hazmat suits conducted the training exercise last year in Portmouth, Ohio. In the terror-attack scenario, two Portsmouth Junior High School teachers follow orders from a white-nationalist leader to poison school lunches with mustard gas to advance their “right-wing” beliefs about gun rights.

It has been suggested that Americans pray to get their country back.  I endorse that suggestion, but I think it's time we be a bit more proactive as well.

The story is told of the priest sitting ringside at a boxing match.  He is obviously rooting for the losing fighter.  As it happened the losing fighter's mother was seated by the priest and she said tearfully to the priest, "Oh, please Father, won't you pray that my son will win?"

The priest replied: "Certainly, my child.  But it would help if your son would fight!"

The same applies to America:  Prayer is always helpful.  But fighting would help, too.

They say "what goes around comes around" and "The Preacher" from the book of Ecclesiastes, in the Old Testament of the Bible, said "there is nothing new under the sun."

That being the case, may we be so bold as to suggest that the elitists in our government today, next time they sit down at the keyboard of their computers, Google the words:  "France 1789."   We think they will find it very educational.

Caracas is burning as protests against the Maduro government continues.

NY Daily News reports a Venezuelan beauty queen and student demonstrator was fatally shot in the head during a political protest, making the fifth fatality from the country's ongoing political turmoil.

Genesis Carmona, 22, was photographed lying limp in the arms of a man riding a motorcycle after gunfire broke out at Tuesday's protest in the city of Valencia.

She was pronounced dead at a hospital Wednesday afternoon.

"How long are we going to live like this? How long do we have to tolerate this pressure, with them killing us?" a relative, who asked not to be named, said. "She only needed one more semester to graduate."

Crains New York reports New York City has always had its share of pricey boutiques and upscale shops. And if a proposed expansion of the city's living-wage law moves forward, it might see even more—hardly the result its proponents intended.


In his State of the City address last week, Mayor Bill de Blasio pledged to extend the existing law, which currently excludes tenants of city-subsidized development projects, to cover "tens of thousands of additional New Yorkers." The law, enacted in 2012, forces developers receiving substantial city subsidies for projects to pay its workers at those sites at least $10 an hour plus benefits, or $11.50 without benefits. But commercial tenants—notably retailers—are exempt, a major carve-out that now faces elimination.

Experts say that would make projects harder, if not impossible, to put together, as stores would avoid leasing space where the additional labor costs are required. Developers would have to turn to retailers that already offer higher wages: luxury shops and high-end mass-market retailers, rather than the discounters that sell the items that ordinary New Yorkers can afford.

WFAA reports suspected runaway 15-year-old Emelin Lazo and her former Dallas ISD middle school teacher have been found safe and are in custody, Dallas Police Lt. Max Geron said.

At about noon on Wednesday, officers in the Dallas Police Department's Southeast Division received a tip from someone in the community and spotted Lazo and Scott Paul Alcaraz walking near a motel. Police took the pair into custody without incident around noon Wednesday.

Lazo went missing Monday morning and sent her mother a text message that said she wanted to be with Scott Paul Alcaraz, 27, a former math teacher and assistant basketball coach at Thomas C. Marsh Middle School.

Alcaraz was fired in April 2013 after he was charged with sexual assault. A 14-year-old girl told police the former teacher had sex with her in a classroom at the school.
Alcaraz had been on house arrest, but police say he cut off his ankle monitor last Friday.

Krauthammer nailed it perfectly and that is why the CBO reports says half a million people will lose their jobs if the minimum wage is increased. It’s Obama picking winners and losers all over again. But, the overall loser is the U.S. Economy.
